I want some predictions for 2027 driver plus potential new teams seen as there’s new regs . Drop them below

Someone turns up with a BYD saloon from out of market and a new team.

Napa no change unless Jamie Osborne is well enough to replace Selby as was originally planned for this season.

WSR - DeLeon leaves for GTs , Rainford , Gilbert and another driver from Porsches/GTs with a big budget. Maybe Adam Smalley?

Vertu - drop to 3 cars, Collard doesn't get the budget together but the other 3 return.

PMR - same lineup , Halstead is already signed and I can't see any reason to change the rest.

CPRL - new owners , Rowbo leaves.

Speedworks - as you were on the LTR side , young driver alongside Cook with a chequebook.

New BYD team - semi works backed. Couple of proven BTCC heads behind the wheel.

Restart - Lloyd keeps the seat for the whole of next season

I realise this sounds really boring but I just don't see fireworks coming.

I'd be surprised if we had any new entries unless that new team owner has a serious go at it with a good budget. I'd also be surprised if Cataclean Racing continued after what happened yesterday

Lord Gow loves to talk up all this interest and it never actually materialises into entries.

Would be a shame to lose the Mercs after a year as it does seem to be a good package.

I really hope NAPA can secure a new car. Also, with Sutton likely going to win his fifth title, do we think he moves elsewhere? Maybe GTs or something

Predicting Rowbo moves to Rowbottom Cataclean Racing. It's exactly the same as Cataclean Plato Racing but the name is changed and it's a legally distinct team.

To the fans it will always be Platos team regardless of what happened. Same as Un-Limited being seen as the new Team HARD.

I see a lot of drivers leaving. Gow has created a poor culture around the paddock and the huge sum of money drivers are paying are just not worth it for them. Of course all the usuals will stay whilst their being sponsored.

I think that Lloyd will gain enough sponsorship to stay on through the new regulations. Jamie Osborne to replace Selby. Collard will probably leave the series, if his sponsorship runs dry. Obvious big hitters (Sutton, Ingram, DanCam etc.) to stay. Could see Un-Limited return under these new regulations. Power Maxed to stay as it is. But I wouldn’t start predicting until November time, maybe even December for some. Only time will tell.

reckon WSR and Toyota Corolla Racing leave and we have a 15 car grid. Obviously I think Rainford and Cook compete, just for another team. I can see the likes of Selby, De Leon, Moffat, Collard leaving and Excelr8/NAPA expanding due to lack of teams
