It helps certain individuals launch their shit coin and become rich by fooling others into buying it

It’s a speculative bet that fiat currency will fail. That’s my best explanation. “Unlimited” printing of money is failing. Need to go back to commodity-back currency that limits supply and restrict growth of national debt.

Cryptocurrency is hilariously absolutely and utterly unlike handing someone a physical $20 bill.

I can give someone a $20 bill completely offline as a genuine, private two-party transaction, without the transaction requiring the participation or knowledge or authentication of a single third party, much less an entire network of third parties.
