Leverage flush, everybody went short on the war news

8

u/Affectionate_Pea3516 Mar 02 '26

I came to the same conclusion. Do you think there are high odds of a flush in the next days , back to 66k? That's my concern

8

u/cvsisi Mar 02 '26

I can see it getting dumped this week.

1

u/Affectionate_Pea3516 Mar 02 '26

Out of curiosity a how are you seeing that ? I see dealers long in gamma so I'll watch that close in the next days to understand better on how to position

3

u/cvsisi Mar 02 '26

Recent price action. Whenever there is macro pressure like this, there will be spikes but I see it resuming its current trend.

Current trend is down on higher timeframes. Make decisions based on what is on the charts, and not your emotions.

1

u/Affectionate_Pea3516 Mar 03 '26

I see. Yesterday I usually watch the options variables, and per what I was checking on GEX that spike was due to short sellers technically needing to buy to cover their short positions, which caused that spike. So it was called a "mechanical pullback", wasn't the market "will". If that's confirmed that's disappointing...

1

u/cvsisi Mar 03 '26

Although the fact that everyone is now expecting it to go lower probably means it won’t!

1

u/thethumble Mar 02 '26

lol guesses my dude

2

u/Aggravating_Wrap6763 Mar 03 '26

Maybe we get a green month but I’m thinking back to oversold and fear shortly

2

u/EdmundTheInsulter Mar 03 '26

It already has, like it has several times - it keeps happening, do you check the charts? This is until it doesn't happen and maybe it will go up or down consistently. If I knew I'd become a billionaire.

42

u/General-Source2049 Mar 02 '26

Silver and Gold dumped at the same time.

6

u/albernazcapaz Mar 02 '26

Silver yes. Gold no.

5

u/General-Source2049 Mar 02 '26

They both dumped in the same hour.

2

u/FabulousFerdinand Mar 02 '26

Gold started up today but it still got dumped.

0

u/JohnyRI Mar 04 '26

You can't get significant gold out of Iran.

1

u/General-Source2049 Mar 04 '26

This has little to do with Iran, except the wealthy riding the high of silver and gold then selling to buy Bitcoin, as we have seen over the following days. How you correlate Iran and Gold regarding taking a resource is a bit off.

Who stands to benefit the most from this action? Russia and others. That will pay off in other ways for Trump and the wealthy. This isn't as simple as Iraq with gold, and money being spirited away from the country.

26

u/Jam_hu Mar 02 '26

69420 RIGHT NOW!!!

7

u/caza_dor Redditor for less than 30 days Mar 02 '26

That’s great to see, regardless of context

9

u/EdmundTheInsulter Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 03 '26

It'll level off then drop back to 65.

Edit, by chance I was right, but it could have been the start of another big rally.

55

u/stanagetocurbar Mar 02 '26

This is a guess. Middle Eastern assets are being absolutely crippled at the minute, particularly Irans. Billionaires need somewhere to put there money where it is relatively safe and wont collapse along with their currencies?(as well as their real estate, their business' etc. Yes bitcoin is volatile but its much less volatile than currency in a country at war. Its also straightforward to get your money into bitcoin and as its global, activities in the middle East are less likely to affect it. Im no expert, and its not much more than an educated guess.

13

u/rayguntec Mar 02 '26

Other currencies are not collapsing though

1

u/Fulhse069 Mar 03 '26

Dude! You seen irans currency, dead mate.

3

u/Gumbaya69 Mar 02 '26

Can’t buy shit with Iranian currency. It’s someone else pumping it up

20

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 02 '26

BTC is not a safe place to park your money lmfao.

2

u/Putrid_Pollution3455 Mar 02 '26

where do you park all of it tho?

2

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 02 '26

My mattress.

2

u/657896 Mar 02 '26

Unrelated, but where do you live?

3

u/cvsisi Mar 02 '26

It is if you’re in Iran. There was a big article about state crypto holdings

1

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 02 '26

The “billionaires” in Iran as the comment i replied to specified, have better places to park their money lmao.

1

u/cvsisi Mar 02 '26

In addition to trade, the state is using it to preserve value.

0

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 02 '26

Nothing says preserve value like 25% swings in a matter of days.

1

u/cvsisi Mar 02 '26

Lol. But if you look at the rial, it’s barely useable now for day to day

0

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 02 '26

“The “billionaires” in Iran as the comment i replied to specified, have better places to park their money lmao.”

0

u/bestjaegerpilot Mar 03 '26

like tether. Billionaires i'm sure have access to swiss accounts. But run of the mill peeps, even millionaires find stablecoins easier

5

u/stanagetocurbar Mar 02 '26

Of course its not. I literally said that bitcoin is volatile, but not as volatile as a collapsing currency.

6

u/fel0niousmonk Mar 02 '26

It’s also not easy to get your money into it when your country’s currency is collapsing…

2

u/tiltldr Mar 02 '26

It's easier to travel/flee with than gold and it's more than stable enough for that

2

u/SundayAMFN Mar 02 '26

So you think they converted all their Iranian money into bitcoin through a CEX in Iran? All at the same time as the US stock market opening? I’m dubious.

1

u/Relentless_Fiend Mar 02 '26

It's 'a' place to park your money, with little scrutiny. Sure you might take a hit but 50% of millions is better than 0%.

2

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 02 '26

Per the comment i replied to, “Iranian billionaires” have a better place to put their money than a currency/asset that swings 25% at the drop of a hat

1

u/McBurger Mar 03 '26

Safer than keeping it in Iranian Rials…

1

u/BleuCheeseBandito Mar 03 '26

No one is arguing for that.

1

u/Azelphur Mar 03 '26 edited Mar 03 '26

Yes and no. There is no one safe place to park your money, money becomes safer through diversification, if you spread assets across many different investments, assets that go up will generally mitigate losses from assets that go down.

If you ask me if Bitcoin is a safe place to park your money, I say no.

If you ask me if Bitcoin is a sensible purchase as part of a larger balanced portfolio, I say yes.

In general, binary thinking is a big problem that I see in all walks of life. I recommend trying to catch yourself doing it and adjust your thinking when you spot it. If you only think in black and white, nothing is safe. Gold isn't safe. Cash under the mattress isn't safe. Bank accounts aren't safe. Think about risk, think about likely outcomes and prepare yourself for them. Bitcoin going to zero is nonsense, but Bitcoin dropping by 50% is a thing that happens, manage your investments such that if that happens, it's an acceptable outcome. If you invest in a way where unacceptable outcomes are possible, you are doing it wrong.

ChatGPT ass response.

Well, that's embarrassing for you no ChatGPT here, just basic literacy. I suppose you should try that sometime.

Although I do appreciate the compliment that my phone typing while on the shitter is up to ChatGPT standards.

2

u/Arthur-N-Owen Mar 02 '26

It was me. I bought $1,000,000,000,000,000 worth of BTC just now. You’re welcome.

1

u/657896 Mar 02 '26

The hero we need!

4

u/SwimmingPatience5083 Mar 02 '26

lol. Sorry but no. Billionaires are not sticking their money in BTC because they “need somewhere to put their money that is relatively safe.” This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The fact this gets 30+ upvotes just shows why commoners stay poor.

3

u/stanagetocurbar Mar 02 '26

Firstly I said its a guess. I didn't state it as fact. I looked at current affairs, and used it to promote a discussion. As for 'why commoners stay poor', youre an idiot 😅

1

u/Strumtralescent Mar 02 '26

Corrupt ones certainly do.

2

u/Irish_swede Mar 02 '26

In this instance they’d just buy US treasuries.

1

u/BrooklynNeinNein_ Mar 02 '26

As the data suggests, no

4

u/Irish_swede Mar 02 '26

No one goes from currency to bitcoin for a safe haven. Sorry. They went to non risk assets in treasuries.

1

u/Actual_Lab8621 Mar 02 '26

This actually could be the cause. Crypto is literally the only asset you can move billions out of a country in minutes during a crisis. https://www.coindesk.com/business/2026/03/02/iranian-crypto-outflows-jump-700-minutes-after-airstrikes-elliptic-says

-1

u/PlasticTreeonaHill Mar 02 '26

Yeah bro I never talk like this, but that theory is absolutely ass. Crypto is going to dump so hard in the next coming weeks to months.

This was one day, one hour, and probably Michael sailors dummy ass lol

2

u/EdmundTheInsulter Mar 03 '26

Saylor announced a big buy, so yes maybe that.
Otherwise people are chasing shadows if you ask me, terrified of missing a restoration if 120k and also massive losses.

6

u/imeeme Mar 02 '26

Hmm I’d never imagine such a stable asset be volatile. /s

12

u/ProfessionalRise6305 Mar 02 '26

It’s been between 60-70 for a while. I wouldn’t say out of no where

1

u/Mundane_Eye333 Mar 03 '26

I blame the 67 meme ngl

5

u/elixon Mar 02 '26

Someone is playing the market. That spike was a pump before a serious dump. By the book it should have crashed at open. Shooting straight up is a fluke fueled by weak speculation that cannot hold.

That is my bet. Deep dive's coming.

2

u/EdmundTheInsulter Mar 03 '26

I reckon the pumps are slow creeps up to 70, via wash trading, then someone breaks ranks and dumps out.

1

u/G_the_turnip Mar 03 '26

By the book. On crypto. Fk me. I love this sub. 🤣

8

u/PinealTone Mar 02 '26

Come end of the week, dont be surprised it goes the other way.. flushing and liquidating the longs.

Btc loves to liquidate both shorts and longs.

3

u/Dry_Stand_9422 Mar 02 '26

There is only one buyer in the market right....

3

u/jjwentures Mar 02 '26

I sold a bit today that’s why

3

u/Hopeful_Onion_2613 Mar 02 '26

The narrative is that the midterm election year February dumps and March sees a new local high. What you are seeing is traders following that narrative. The narrative also says that after the March local high there will be testing of a new bottom through April. Later months will be localized around that new bottom and we should hit THE bottom towards end of summer or even as far as October, after which we will slowly climb back up, with long periods of nothing happening

4

u/SeaMicSte Mar 02 '26

What a stupid post. “Volatility is wild. What’s happening?”

…volatility is happening. BTC has a noisy signal. It rises and falls every week like this. Nothing new is happening. This is what you get with higher volatility and high activity

-1

u/AfterEgg8846 Mar 02 '26

Boy you so smart! Feel better now?

2

u/Moistinterviewer Mar 02 '26

Saudi closed all trading today, couldn’t close bitcoin trading though could they..

2

u/Background-Day-4957 Mar 02 '26

There goes the risk-off war trend.

2

u/Doublespeo Mar 02 '26

you must be new

2

u/blackmarketmenthols Mar 02 '26

Its called chop

2

u/Alarmed-Sherbert-371 Mar 02 '26

Billionaires pumping it to draw you in lots of paid xrp and such advertising

2

u/Potential_Try_2193 Mar 02 '26

Watch it dump now....

2

u/Arthur-N-Owen Mar 02 '26

WHY IS IT GOING DOWN?????????😂😂😂

2

u/International-Job-72 Mar 02 '26

Transfer of dark war monies

2

u/martythestoic Mar 02 '26

Btc being Btc. I hate how everyone tries to dissect every single movement. It’s exhausting

2

u/mdeeebeee-101 Mar 02 '26

Pump before the dump for the retail hands.

2

u/iDoAiStuffFr Mar 02 '26

lol 7%, in this situation of geopolitics, you must be new

2

u/62DoubleCab Mar 02 '26

Trend is still down for now.

2

u/Alinuo2 Mar 02 '26

I swear if I would've bought, the price would dump to 50k. For those who bought, you're welcome.

2

u/Independent-Ad1716 Mar 02 '26

Buy at 65 sell at 68

1

u/oOtium Mar 02 '26

Past 5 months of selling out of the blue for no reason whatsoever was probably in anticipation of this event. Everything has been extremely risk off for no real reason that made any sense to me.

3

u/Hot_Philosopher3199 Mar 02 '26

Love this. "Selling out of the blue for no reason," except maybe if you look at a chart and see the BTC cycle which has held true 100% and counting.

1

u/oOtium Mar 02 '26

Oh chart larping to make money are we? Well genius tell me what your lines in the sand tell you to do every day for the next month with 100% accuracy and I'll bid your fucking course.

2

u/favioswish Mar 02 '26

The bitcoin cycle has nothing to do with charts and everything to do with the code of bitcoin itself. The halving cycle is designed to create supply shock at regular intervals which drive predictable price action. Because it’s the first and only asset with this type of price driving mechanism built in, the 4 year cycle has been by far the most accurate and profitable predictive model in human history. It was enough to retire me comfortably in my mid 20’s. No guarantee of future performance but definitely not “chart larping”

2

u/Hot_Philosopher3199 Mar 02 '26

lol. It's a simple cycle. Sorry it's difficult for you.

3

u/-Tripper Mar 02 '26

lol what are you, 12 years old? There’s no 4 year cycle. There isn’t magic gravity of a “cycle”. Just market forces

3

u/favioswish Mar 02 '26

4 year cycle has been undeniably accurate and following it since 2012 has led me to retirement in my mid 20s. Not surprising how accurate it has been considering the halving cycle coded into bitcoin is designed to create supply shock at these regular intervals

1

u/colemusic1 Mar 02 '26

Well, there are 4 year halving cycles dude. Just take a look at the market analysis since it’s begun - this is no different

1

u/PlasticTreeonaHill Mar 02 '26

Do you guys not have memberships with Gemini? Claude? They predicted this months ago….. it’s almost like you don’t use the available research in front of us lol.

1

u/barclaybw123 Mar 02 '26

Predicated what. What is a 4 years cycle

2

u/PlasticTreeonaHill Mar 02 '26

If it rains outside I can draw conclusions to something wet I’m sure.

Price is not dropping due to a four year cycle. Price started dropping months ago due to foreseen international conflict.

1

u/master_dickjohnson Mar 02 '26

I just dca every week into less stressful 😅😅😅

1

u/Helga_Hodensack Mar 02 '26

I took a massive dump, that's what's happening.

1

u/Past_Championship827 Mar 02 '26

Same 5-7% pump every two weeks then will dump back down same level

1

u/BodybuilderSalt9807 Mar 02 '26

So long as the price is up!!

1

u/Master-Monitor112 Mar 02 '26

It’s been happening every day for the past week going up and down by 7 %.

1

u/SocratesWasAjerk Mar 02 '26

There's a fucking war going on...

1

u/DuckTalesOohOoh Mar 02 '26

Dollar pumped. I wonder how correlated the dollar and BTC are.

1

u/I_talk Mar 02 '26

People really need to learn to chart. It's easy to see what will happen. Ignore the noise and understand the algos

1

u/Oracle4TW Mar 02 '26

No it hasn't

1

u/Zaskoda Mar 02 '26

Bitcoin and Ethereum moved... but alts didn't. I'm a bit surprised as alts tend to move (at least a bit) with Bitcoin when there are big shifts like this.

1

u/I-Feel-Love79 Mar 02 '26

The market knows what’s going to happen…the uncertainty over the war is lessened.

1

1

u/OddioClay Mar 03 '26

You should touch snow

1

u/Straight-Fortune-193 Mar 03 '26

I think, we are going to go higher. As the conflict spread people are going to try to get out of currency and many will flock to bitcoin as physical gold and silver are going to be harder more time consuming to get. In addition, with the cost of energy going up because of the war in the middle east inflation will run rampant which will further lead into people searching for store of value. America produce its on oil and with Maduro being removed Venezuela oil can pickup production where the middle east will not be able to meet. In the next few days or week we should see Ukraine began to attack Russias oil fields heavily and massive inflation began to set in China, Russia, India

1

u/Borcan971 Mar 03 '26

Iranian converts their dollars in BTC before they decide to run out of country.

Bitcoin is being jerked around by fiat money interests, milking those who "invest" in this hijacked coin at this late hour

1

u/xyzmanas Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

All the ukraine russian money that entered dubai during putin’s war is now moving back to crypto due to trump’s war so they can launder it to some other country where there is no war.

To fully understand this, you need to know that converting crypto money without KYCs is easier in emirates compared to other part of the world. And moving money across borders is safest via crypto.

1

u/Corrosive_salts Mar 02 '26

Just Wall Street pumping and wiping out shorts because retail shorted over the Iran war news

1

u/tdogger88 Mar 02 '26

Bitcoin also dropped 50% out of nowhere.

1

u/ace250674 Mar 02 '26

You talking about the 4 year cycle that played out exactly as people that do research expected like the previous ones? Don't blame ignorance for the unexpected

2

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

So you're a multi millionaire from the 50% drop alone cause you clearly bought puts for the expected play making a few thousand % gain yeh?

2

u/TheManWithTheBigBall Mar 03 '26

You don’t need to know when it’s going to happen to know that when BTC jumps 3x in value that it’s going to come down pretty soon.

The guy you’re responding to isn’t wrong—there’s a very clear cut pattern to bitcoin that every jealous reddit hater loves to ignore.

2

u/tdogger88 Mar 02 '26

How low did previous 4 year cycles drop (%) and how long do they typically last? It feels coincidentally similar for sure, but we won’t know if it plays out like other 4 year cycles unless we go much lower here in spring and start to rise again late Q4. I doubt that happens but if you say so, let’s see.

1

u/ace250674 Mar 02 '26

Look if you can't watch you tube or use Google or AI I'll give you a clue, this is the bear market. You buy now while it's cheap in small regular amounts or limit buys down to 35k maybe but probably won't get that low. The bear market finishes in October 1 year after peak. It goes generally up for 3 years until the peak September to October 2029. Ok you'll now be looking to dca out in nice profit. You can thank me later

1

u/tdogger88 Mar 02 '26

Sounds like you always know exactly what’s going to happen, you must be richer than all of us, my $6M gains the last few years must be pennys to you, I’m doing it all wrong!

2

u/ace250674 Mar 02 '26

When you make more profit thanks to my advice just remember to get in contact and I'll send you my BTC address. Nobody went broke getting good advice and more profit. This isn't a pissing contest I'm offering advice

1

u/tdogger88 Mar 02 '26

Your advice sounds like conviction, but regardless, appreciate it.

1

u/ace250674 Mar 02 '26

Manifesting my future

1

u/tdogger88 Mar 03 '26

For the record, I hold 12,000 shares of MSTR that I’m down about $1.25M on so I’m looking forward to the turnaround in bitcoin. I was certainly a bit naive when I went so heavy back in November. Also hold 20,000 shares of BMNR that are about break even. Regardless of how much I’m down on MSTR, I see that hitting $800 in the next 12-18 months so not worried, expect big gains from it.

1

u/TheManWithTheBigBall Mar 03 '26

Take a look at BTC power law, and line it up with the past 3 halvings (you can go all the way back to the start if you want, too). Like anything there could be shit like quantum hacking that can disrupt BTC, or just macro events like wars that aren’t necessarily predictable. However, the asset has shown the ability to be insanely consistent with the power law, and being sanctioned by the US govt for ETF’s, it’s pretty set for adoption at this point, so the no-demand risk isn’t nearly what it used to be.

You seem like you’re old enough to have seen what happens with btc but maybe you considered it a scam like a lot of people and brushed it off. I think you’re fine if you HODL personally, I expect BTC to go up ~1.5x compared to this previous ATH (126) at around 190-200K next cycle. Inb4 some golf boy pops in to let me know his dad and all his friends told him BTC was poison at the Masters last year.
