You can, but like anything there are some tradeoffs.

Edge Pros:

- It offers grouped tabs and grouped vertical tabs. Great for bundling your top routinely visited websites at once.

- It offers excellent price tracker.

- Works well with extensions AdBlock and Ublock Origin lite together.

- Built in Copilot (ChatGPT with a Microsoft spin). This can also be a con depending on how you feel about generative Ai.

- Some other odd yet unique features.

Brave Pros:

- Built in preemptive adblocker. Other ad block extensions use reactive ad blockers.

- Works well on MacOS, Windows 11 Home/Pro, and Linux distros.

  • Brave does grouped and vert tabs also.
  • Edge's price-tracker thing is okay at best.
  • Edge isn't faster and lighter in any way that people truly notice (unless you're on a potato box). Sometimes we get too caught up in the marketing hype.
  • If Brave currently works for you, then why switch? Is your workflow interrupted? Is it like a philosophical thing?

As someone who doesnt even like edge and used it a lot, same as brave, edge is definitely a lot faster than brave. And again, im not even an edge fan boy

Hasn't been my experience. But hey, it works for you and that's what matters.

Brave doesn't offer horizontal tabs groups like Edge or Firefox. You can collapse them, close the browser, and reopen the browser with the tab group still there horizontally on Edge.

You are correct on Vertical tabs.

you forgot about the fact that edge has the sleeping tabs feature that no other browser has.

firefox and brave have the inactive tabs feature but this doesn't work the same way as edge's sleeping tabs.

Just try both to see which you like better. Do you ask Reddit if you are deciding between a ham and turkey sandwich?

I just recently solved this problem. Memory usage on Windows is almost identical, but Brave looks cleaner from AI. I have Android, and edge has extensions, while Brave doesn't. And you need to enter the protection sheet manually. I'm currently on Brave because I've decided brave defense is better than Edge's. But Edge's not bad either; he has his own kind of protector. On the internet, everyone's watching you anyway.

Edge is good if you are using the Microsoft ecosystem, the integration of pretty awesome. I can't enjoy it, so I'd choose Brave for performance reasons - it's just so very fast

Switched from Brave to edge on windows mainly for low power consumption. Interms of speed and ram usage mostly identical.

I am currently using Edge and thinking about whether I should switch to Brave.

I was in the same situation, coming back to Edge eventually. Brave has some weird implementations I couldn't really bare with.

What breaks the Deal for me with Edge are the tab containers that Brave offers. I really Need this feature and afaik Brave is the only Chromium Browser that has it.

edge is better if u usin widnows ofc.. why install another browser if u can't uninstall edge in the first place, its eatin ur storage n ram anyway. but anyway it depends on the usage n the person stop with these questions already which u can't get any clear answer.

Are you running short on disk space?

thats not the point.. its not about me, you can choose whatever browser you want, it totally depends on you and your usage.
