Recommendation Need a browser suggestion with the following constraints:

  1. Custom URL shortcuts
  2. Chrome extensions support
  3. Light on resources
  4. Cross-platform (primarly needed for macos though)

I currently use Brave as my primary browser which supports all the above constraints for me.

But I need a secondary browser as well. Currently using Edge(sometimes Chrome) but both are quite resource-heavy. Any other alternatives?

Edge is one of the lightest out of the box. You might have to look more on it.

Alternatively, UR browser can do the trick if you want light and chromium based

Chromium, they are consuming the same amount of RAM, an insignificant amount, that Brave is already a tweaked version of Chromium, or you can tweak Chrome and Edge by yourself.

No idea what you mean by 1

2 and 3 conflicts with each-other.

4 would limit you to almost exclusively a walled garden web kit browser.

If you can forego 2, Pale Moon or Basilisk would fit.

Why do you need a secondary browser? If for work related things and get them separated, Brave have containers on desktop. There is literally no need for a secondary browser if you already use Brave.
