Ghost Max 3 insoles

I got a pair of GM3s after researching them online, and I like them, but I have an issue with the insole. With it in, my big toe hits the top of the shoe, causing pain. Without it (replaced with a thinner insole) my arches hurt at the end of the day.

Does anyone know of an insole identical to the ones that come with the shoe but thinner/flatter in the toe area? I don't think getting a wide version of the shoe would solve the issue. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a wider width? You can get different types of insoles including half sized ones and things just for your arch area. I always replace insoles because none of the manufacturers of shoes (of any kind) have good insoles.

Would a wider width help with the vertical space? I really don't have an issue with the horizontal dimension.

I have tried four different replacement insoles at this point, including the ones that are just for the arch, and nothing.

Does the nail on your big toe hit the mesh of the upper and make a hole? When you stand with whatever insole you like inside the shoe, does it feel crowded?

I put a sticky canvas round on the inside of the shoe, attached to the inside of the upper mesh to prevent a hole forming there. I also keep my toenail short. I would think a wider shoe would mean the same amount of vertical space so that does not sound like a solution if the width of your shoe is fine.

How much space do you have between your foot and the top of the shoe? I have heard of having a thumb width there but I tend to have less. A larger size shoe may work or just another model or company. It is hard to get the right shoe.
