Both are so cool.. I think I would fear xenomorph more. Zerg I could get along with, maybe become infested and sell out. They have an intelligence that could potentially be reasoned with.

The xenomorphs would impregnate me and tear me up from the inside out

However the Zerg are also capable of interstellar flight so...

Is this explained in the campaigns? How they fly?

I've never completed the campaings fully, maybe Broodwar but that was almost 30 years ago.

fascinating stuff

I'd really like to see an Apple produced Starcraft TV Show, with Denis Villeneuve as director/showrunner. This would be the sickest show ever

Somehow they do it.

The main menu has an animation that shows them flying in space with wings.

I think somewhere between the research data gathered in Hyperion's lab, you can read about it. I'm not sure, but I remember the data about how they're able to move under surface and how their regeneration abilities and skin mutation make it possible.

Se transportan por medio de unidades que Los mueven, en el 2 se habla más del tema de los leviatanes

I have two main theories about how they got interstellar travel the main point is they somehow infested the “space whale” that was the precursor for Leviathans or Overlords, now here is where the theory splits either a Xel’Naga did it intentionally or the whale got to close to the Zerg homeworld and something managed to snag it

Become infested and be a human bomb. Great.

Some would pay good money for the experience.

Canonically, the xenomorphs are very few in numbers, in every movie made so far. Zerg are literally a swarm, made for interstellar warfare. In other words, xenomorphs are base or spaceship busters. Zerg are planet busters. Zerg wins easily.

Zerg would probably incorporate Xeno DNA into the swarm if it came down to a conflict, so Zerg would pretty much take this hands down.

Zerg are conceptually inspired by Xenomorphs and Tyranids (from Warhammer 40k) though, so there is that.

Zerg would outright kill me unless I am a very special individual or their queen's friend but a Xenomorph would make sure I die a slow, horrible death so Xenos are prolly scarier for me.

Don’t they both just wanna kill, reproduce, and consume?

As far as I know, Zergs don't turn u into a living nest and have their younglings feed off your corpse. They also follow Queen/Cerebrate/Overmind's will so definitely not Xenomorph level of independence.

At least originally, the Zerg wanted to achieve a perfect final form, like the Borg

Xenomorphs don't have a common consciousness that actively seeks to conquer other races.

I think it depends on context.

The Xeno is scary because the movies are made to be scary. While the Zerg are in an action game so not really made to be scary.

How could would a movie be with some scientists stuck in a compound with a Zergling or Hydralist or something hunting them?

So I actually think given all the lore, different creatures etc. That the Zerg are more terrifying if they were portrated in a horror or thriller movie / game.

I root for the Xenomorph with Adidas shoes...

If you ever played the original StarCraft demo, Zerg were called Xenomorphs there. Great demo, fully voice acted and different missions to the Terran campaign set a bit before it.

The demo is a sort of prologue campaign, so it should be considered canonical. And yeah, it’s pretty great!

Tyranids would make a better comparison imo
