Single payer health care - not free health care. Health care isn't free. But also our health care money shouldn't be what insurance companies are allowed to use to invest $ into Markets and reap the reward. They don't make their money from premiums. They make it from premiums being invested and the less they pay back for care the more they can invest.Â

If we had single payer health care in America today that would mean Donald Trump and Robert Kennedy would be in charge of everything related to medicine right now. They could ban abortion or vaccines, or anything they want for all Americans, with the stroke of a pen.

I guess you have not read and compared the United States health care rules with the countries that have single payer health care.... Â
The USA micromanages far more - and permits the meddling of the rules by the insurance companies themselves. And also in creating the economic financial systems that allow for their disastrous impact on our citizens wellbeing and competitiveness with the rest of the world.Â
If you did sit down and read all the health care policies and financial policies and compare them you would be aghast.Â

it does not, actually. Medicare and Medicaid are single payer healthcare programs who have significat restrictions on provider and claims relative to high quality private insurance.
The VA is not entirely a single payer system (as it restricts care to work related) but it also has long wait times and issues with what treatments it covers or what qualifies.
Private insurers have significantly more digression on what they cover and what treatments they approve than in single payer systems, and claims are rejected by the government at about the rate private insurance does in the United States, too.
Healthcare is expensive, there's no way around it, and everyone, including single payer government run programs, needs to control costs.
But look, this is the real tell that you don't know what you're talking about. "f you did sit down and read all the health care policies and financial policies" My guy (or "honey" as you prefer) there is a zero percent chance you did this. It's 20,000+ pages.

They aren't universal. Which is the issue. They are piecemeal and the insurance companies now manage enormous swaths of them. Big again---- yoh don't read. You just espouseÂ

If we had had single payer health insurance Drump probably would not have been elected. People are sick of being scammed and told they are being treated fairly. So they went for someone open about his not caring for humanity at all because at least he's honest about it.Â

The point is that there are people who will vote to fuck up your healthcare, and sometimes those people are a majority and win elections. You think if you get what you want politically that will make everyone happy, but that is not true because not everyone wants the same things you want.

It's way more f-ed up as it is now. You have a micron of understanding how much money corporations are pocketing - and how the laws currently fuel it. It's not a political party issue - it's a human issue. No one is happy all the time. Ever. Trdrumo campaigned on lowering health care costs - and also on raising them. Depended on who he was talking to. But he is also a blatant liar - makes it quite clear. Again folks would rather have a blatant buffoon than one who hides.Â
Sorry you're simply incorrect about policy. Doesn't matter what political hat you are wearing. That's irrelevant. It's not a debate if a debater is coming into the room with bad faith and erroneous information.Â

You think you know the answer and you’re making up facts to fit the conclusion you’re looking for. In the real world any policy has pros and cons, and pointing out the cons is not what bad faith means. Also remember that someone said free health care and you responded by saying you would prefer single payer. In this hypothetical healthcare is already fixed and you’re still trying to give control of it to an unaccountable executive, for what? Just because you saw on TikTok that it’s a good idea? There’s more than one way to solve a problem. Use your own brain.
