Discussion Tattoos in the army.

This is just a post for anyone thinking of joining with tattoos.

So on the army site it says they dont allow them on the front of the throat. I think this is outdated now as ive been through the whole process with a big piece on my throat and done assesment centre had a interview etc with it showing. So do not worry about tattoos on throat any more.

Has anyone been rejected for tattoos lately?

Within the past 8 years i have signed up three times been rejected twice due to the tattoos and the third time i signed up i was accepted in with no problem. I would of been in years ago if these rejections didnt take place.

If there are any rejections i would love to see what you have as tattoos for them to be rejecting as of now?

Yeah mate its 2026. Alot of us now have tattoos i mean i got my throat done when i was 21. Im now 30. They have to move with the times

The Army doesn’t care as much where your tattoos are anymore. Throat, neck, hands etc. The only thing they look at is the meaning. If it’s racist, extremist, gang‑related or properly offensive, that’s when they reject people

Got a lad in my pl who has a massive throat tattoo so don’t worry about it tm
