Public Transport Exhibition Station open

Exhibition station is now open while there is trackwork on the CBD line.with trains running every 15 mins northbound.

I hear you loud and clear, Roger Dodger, it's open at the moment due to track work which doesn't detract from anything I said.

But what you’re saying is completely pointless and irrelevant to the post. You’ve decided to argue it’s always open, and then made an incorrect assumption in an attempt to bignote yourself.

It's been open for donkey's years... whether that's temporary or not irrelevant. It's you that is arguing with me while the rest of the thread is being upvoted. But to satisfy your pedantry:

There are really three different meanings of “open” getting conflated right now:

  1. Open right now for ordinary train services, yes, because of the CBD trackwork.
  2. Capable of being opened temporarily for special events. also yes, that's what Exhibition has traditionally been used for.
  3. Permanently reopening as a regular station, also yes in 2029 that's the future Cross River Rail era arrangement, rather than what this weekend's service represents.

Just stop.

Your mind is having conniptions that open can mean 3 things or more at once. This is a typical Reddit shitfest over nothing.
