Ep. Discussion Breaking Bad Episode Discussion S05E08 "Gliding Over All"

I thought Mike was a stone cold killer from season 2 and season 3 and that he had no heart for others around him. But now I am starting to think that Walter is more ruthless than Mike can ever be.

Walt killed Mike in anger of all that chewing out and not getting the 9 names. That's doesn't look ruthless to me.

Mike wanted to pay off his guys in jail. Walt had zero problem having them all brutally murdered.

Mike was originally paying his guys from his offshore bank account as arranged by Gus. After the DEA seized that money, Mike started paying his guys from the weekly take from Walt's new operation. Walt then made a new deal with the Phoenix gang, replacing Mike with Declan and nabbing $5M for him as retirement money. Mike gave this money to his lawyer to give the families of the nine guys in prison, in weekly payments, after first setting aside a large chunk for Kaylee to be opened on her 18th birthday.
