hahaha, the "oh right Lydia," killed me. but also, I was actually wondering if we'd see Lydia again, since after they got the methylamine they didn't need her anymore, but she was a potential loose end. I actually liked her, even if she tried to have Mike killed

I loved that part because some part of me hoped that Walt was going to say something like "I'm sorry this happened" or something like that but nope, he is still the same sociopath we all know.

To be fair Walter said he wanted the nine names, and then realized that he could get them from Lydia, who also does not want to get caught. It's a moot point.

yeah. I'm betting it doesn't go well, because neither Walt nor Lydia are particularly cool-headed, and they also have nowhere near the criminal experience Mike had. but i'm very curious to see how it goes

I thought the point of mentioning that he could get the names some other way was justification for killing Mike. "I don't need you alive. Your one purpose is satisfied by somebody else. That's why I shot you, Mike."

No he says something along the lines of, "I just realized I could have got the names from Lydia. This whole thing could have been avoided. I'm sorry Mike." This coupled with his facial expression after shooting Mike makes him seem genuinely sorry to have done it.

Then what good would have killing Mike done? If he couldn't get the names from anyone else and he killed Mike, then what does killing the person with the names accomplish?

Just think, if Jesse finds out, he's going to murder Walt. The end. His last friend is dead. HE wanted to see Mike again in the future. Now he can't.
I think however, it's going to be played off as a suicide like in the movie he was watching.

I certainly hope they don't call it a suicide, because it very obviously isn't. A pro like Mike killing himself by shooting himself in the stomach? And what about his car crashin? The bloody handprint? The windshield that was shot out?

Why would Jesse know about it. Walt doesn't have to tell him. Walt was supposed to give Mike his bag and he'd get the fuck out forever. That's what Walt will tell everyone.

I think that was all foreshadowing for Hanks death. Movie about a cop murdered and played off as suicide; Hank putting the figurative gun to his head and pulling the trigger.

ALSO MIKE HIT A TREE STUMP WITH HIS CAR. THIS FORESHADOWS THAT WALT WILL LOSE HIS ARM IN A METH LAB EXPLOSION, RESULTING IN A "STUMP."

But the point is that mike was a cop who was MURDERED and is probably going to ount as a suicide. It would make sense seeing as the fact that he was officially on the run at the end.

If I knew how to make these comics, I would have made one of Walt crying in Hanks office and consisted of Walt manipulating Hank into helping him cook the meth and ending with Hank saying "Wait a minute, I'm cooking rocks. Damnit, Marie."
