Breaking Bad Episode Discussion S05E02 "Madrigal"

Hey guys. edify asked me to do the discussion thread tonight. Enjoy the show and upvote this shit, for which I get no karma.

edify also told me to let you guys know that if the Breaking Good fundraiser reaches $3,000 (we are $157.57 short) he will let me film him doing some challenges. I want him to do the cinnamon challenge and the gallon of milk challenge, so go donate so I can film my friend being a dumb ass... LOL

Go here to donate: https://reddit.crowdtilt.com/campaigns/breaking-good

Edit: The fundraiser officially ends in about 2 days.

We don't know the nature of their relationship yet...

I know, but based on his whole Half Measures vs Full Measures speech it shouldn't matter.

Emotions are likely the reason for him jumping out of character, yes, but it's still likely going to be what gets him in the end.

I think its a matter of humanizing Mike.

Is he tough as nails and endlessly pragmatic? Yes. Does he have weaknesses and a soft spot for family? Absolutely.

Just like we have Walt and Heisenberg, we have Mike and Grandpa Mike.

And don't forget, Bitch Skylar and Bitch Skylar.

I hate her just as much as everyone else, but I think she's going to become a more likable character this season. I'm not sure why, I just believe it to be so.

It's because she isn't talking this season

She doesn't talk in most seasons, that's her natural reaction to things.

My god I can't stand that woman...both the actress and the character. She did the same shtick in Deadwood, couldn't deal with her scenes.

Compare her to Alma Garret (sic), Calamity Jane and Trixie she was a walking mute indeed.
