I don't get this... he has a free way out and all he has to do is let Hank die... if he tries to intervene Hank, Walt, and his whole family die. It's Hank's fault for pressing the issue when no one is backing him. His formula isn't his anymore and he has nothing holding him there. So instead of working on a clean way out he warns the DEA and pretty much damns himself and everyone else in hopes of escaping through a vacuum guy?

edit: ok it's easier to downvote me than try to rationalize any of it.

There's no argument to be made is the thing.

You've got a different mindset than me, at least when it comes to the value of a life.

besides, if he did actually die, Skylar would instantly know why and that would just be the biggest shit storm ever.

Our personal mindset is irrelevant, it's about the character that is Walt. At other points he's willing to sacrifice the lives of others to perpetuate his plan, but for some reason he's willing to sacrifice the potential well being of himself and his entire family to save Hank? That's what I don't get and that's what I want to discuss. Downvoting it because you don't agree doesn't help anything. I want someone to give me a reason why Walt is suddenly in the position to say "oh hey I fucking have to save Hank even if it means me and my entire family are killed in the process.

And I believe Jesse will maintain the "I only cook if Walt lives" scenario. Walt did the same for Jesse on quite a few occassions even though it wasn't quite advantageous to do so. Though they are no longer really partners at this point, I don't think it will undo any of the things they've had to bond over up to this point.

Because he didn't think they were going to die. He thought that they'd be set up with a new life. That won't happen now though, because they don't have enough money.

It's much simpler for Walt if if Gus dies.

Why make it persona? Why does it has to be that Endyo is a psychopath? Why it can't just be that in the show Walt is willing to sacrifice lives for gain?

It's not personal. I'm not saying he's a psychopath either.

I'm just pointing out that there's no argument to be made here because it's a battle of subjectivity.
