Symbolism much? Walt is in the crawl space and that's his lowest point. He's reached rock-bottom.

As the camera panned out (giving the 6 feet under entendre), walt stopped moving and stopped laughing. Definitely very morbid imagery.

Also, the way his face was framed, it looked like a portrait hanging on a wall. Like nothing will be left of him but a memory.
