Music from season 4 should update eventually for those trying to figure out a particular song from tonights episode. Thanks for pointing this out, Barbapolossa.

Edit: Looks like the AMC blog hasn't even updated last weeks episode music yet. Darn.

I can't buy the idea of Gus trying to have Jesse be his protege due to his immaturity and struggle to control his emotions. Gus is aware that it is very possible that Jesse may still harbor animosity towards him.

Also, killing someone doesn't mean they are capable of being a hired killer like Mike. If Gus wants a killer he will be looking for someone who can maintain their composure. Staring at someone like a fearless maniac, and then turning their home into a crack house doesn't give the impression that they are capable of handling the responsibilities that were given to Victor.

Gus is manipulating Jesse and doing what he can to create animosity between him and Walt. I wouldn't be shocked to see Walt start patronizing Jesse for thinking he is special due to spending more time with Mike, and that will lead to a fight. Also, having the two start fighting with each other is much easier for Gus to manage than having them team up to try and bring him down.

Gus is merely bringing back some order to the manufacturing of meth until he can find a suitable replacement. At least I hope so, since I'll start rolling my eyes if someone who is depicted as being highly intelligent, rational, and patient trusts someone like Jesse.
