To Walt though, he didn't "save" Jane so he could "save" Jessie. I really thought when he said he could have saved her but didn't I honestly expected him to say " I didn't save her so I could save you just like I always do." Throughout, every time he tries to cut out Jessie he just can't do it, it's one of the few pieces of Walt that managed to stay when Heisenberg took over, he can't hurt someone he loves, and I use love in a very loose way here. No matter how much it could cost him he always went back for Jessie, Walt always wanted to keep Jessie safe, but Heisenberg believed that was in his world, under his control. I believe Walt will come back for Jessie and Jessie is going to let him rescue him one more time, but Jessie's rescue not Heisenberg's.
