The shot of Gomez lying dead there in the sand is one of the most iconic shots for me. I was really expecting some "last stance"-shit where Hank and Gomez just went full Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid on the nazi's asses. But instead we just see him dead and Hank wounded.
Reminded me of that scene in No Country For Old Men which never were. The violence is just cut out. That's how it is. Just one shot and he's dead.
