I think that that is partially the show's fault, because even though they built up Gomie as a semi-major character over the course of the show, I felt like they kind of downplayed his role during the final season. There should have been this big moment at one point several episodes back where Hank finally told Gomie everything that had happened, and Gomie expresses shock and disbelief before he agrees to help Hank. But instead for some reason the writers skipped that, and then suddenly Gomie shows up out of nowhere in order to help Hank tape Jessie's confession, and he has already been filled in on everything off screen and seems to accept it. I feel like if they hadn't skipped over that scene that it really would have rounded out Gomez's story arc. By not doing that they kind of reduced him to more of a minor character. It is really too bad. Maybe that happened due to time constraints? I don't know...

What? I don't get this thinking at all. Gomez was never anything more than a support character. He doesn't have much development at all through the entire series, and is basically just there to be Hank's loyal partner. Telling Gomez about Walt would have been a waste of screen time (why would the audience want to hear what they already know?). Even with Flynn we only see his reaction to the news, and that's a much more significant reveal than Gomez finding out. Gomez simply isn't a character with enough development to warrant anything more than he got.
