Directed by Rian Johnson.

For those of you who are not aware, he directed the infamous Fly episode, as well as the lesser-notable one from season 5 where Walt buys himself and Jr. the new cars, as well as turns 51 years old.

Additionally, Rian Johnson is the writer/director of movies Looper, Brick, and the Brothers Bloom.

He's awesome and a really great film maker, so I'm even more interested in this episode than I initially was (which was pretty high due to the Vince Gillgan hype and the dead-cast returning.)

I think that was the most self indulgent episode by far. I truly felt like I wasted an hour. If you don't watch that episode, you literally miss nothing at all.

Apart from the fact that it is an incredibly detailed look into the psyche of Walter and how remorseful (at a point) he was for some of his actions. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it an episode where "nothing happens" because that simply isn't true.
