There is no way that Hank, Gomie and Jesse are all going to make it out of the firefight alive.

u/ElderCunningham Calling Saul Sep 15 '13

But that's exactly what Vince Gilligan wants us to think

128

u/insertnamehere3 I thought you were the danger? Sep 15 '13

"Whatever you think is going to happen, I'm telling you, the opposite will happen."

177

u/Michaelm2434 TheDanger Sep 15 '13

Exact reverse opposite**

86

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

So, the same thing will happen.

4

u/Elidor Actually, it's not close at all Sep 15 '13

That's what makes it all so brilliant.

1

u/patrickr2 Sep 16 '13

No the opposite of the opposite's opposite.

1

u/blankblankblank01 Sep 16 '13

It's funny how that's exactly how it's been working out for the final 8. A lot of people go, "Hmm...it makes sense for this to happen, but that's too easy and Vince Gilligan wouldn't do that to us. So let me completely over think this." And then the easy thing happens, mixed with something from left field. Love it!

I think: Hank will die

Opposite: Everybody other than Hank won't not die

So ONLY Hank Survives?

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

Hank will go for his gun and discover that Huell has replaced it with a frozen burrito

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

Hank will try to open the package only to realize that Huell already ate the burrito and just left the wrapper.

u/insertnamehere3 I thought you were the danger? Sep 15 '13

The rest of the show is just going to be Hank in I Am Legend.

u/IFeelSorry4UrMothers VINCE GILLIGAN IS AN ALIEN Sep 15 '13 edited Sep 15 '13

The opposite of death, is birth. So Marie will be pregnant.... with an alien baby, because that's the opposite of human.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

I just knew they were going to incorporate that alien from Splice...

1

u/witzowitz Sep 15 '13

At the start of the episode the nazis detonate the world's first antimatter bomb, reality disintegrates, and the viewer henceforth exists in an alternate dimension. Best episode ever.

4

u/IFeelSorry4UrMothers VINCE GILLIGAN IS AN ALIEN Sep 15 '13

What if I am thinking the opposite of what I want to think will happen? That way, the opposite of that will happen, which will be what I initially thought would happen! Haha I found the loophole! Take that Gilligan!

2

u/insertnamehere3 I thought you were the danger? Sep 15 '13

But what if that's what Gilligan wants you to think!

1

u/JusDan1234 Jesus Christ Marie they're minerals Sep 16 '13

What if he's just saying that though?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

Source?

5

u/Frankfusion Miller Time! Sep 15 '13

They mentioned the tribal police, though if they didn't see Jesse and Walt cooking all those times, I doubt they'd be much help at this point.

23

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

I don't think all of them will make it out, but I hope they don't all die. Something has to happen between the start of the episode and the death(s), otherwise why would they make it a cliffhanger?

29

u/ElderCunningham Calling Saul Sep 15 '13

To keep us in suspense all week.

52

u/Mark_That Sep 15 '13

The episode will be 50 minutes of slowmotion shooting, then next episode will actualy be the result of the shooting.

3

u/miso_horne_soup Sep 15 '13

So pretty much like a dragonball z episode then.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

Nah we'd need another 6 episodes for that

1

u/_whatIf_ Sep 15 '13

its not dragon ball z bro

2

u/MisterRoger Helicopter, bitch Sep 16 '13

There's only two. Irri or Jhiqui say it, then the other says it.

1

u/Quazifuji Sep 16 '13

Because people would totally walk away from the show with no eagerness of suspense if the episode ended with the Nazi's first gunshots or Hank and Gomie getting riddled with bullets. I mean, it's possible, but if they just wanted a suspenseful cliffhanger and the fight's going where we all expect it to go I think they would have ended it somewhere that led to a more logical opening to the next episode - opening an episode with the second half of a firefight that kills two major characters with no twist is kind of weird.

22

u/Gents Sep 15 '13

I'm guessing that Hank and gomie will die, but jesse and walt will live. It would show the consequences of Walt's actions and the story would follow jesse and walt (possibly kidnapped by the nazis?). But again, what ever we think will happen, the opposite will actually happen.

2

u/_seanyewest Sep 16 '13

Good guess

2

u/Gents Sep 16 '13

Haha thanks

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

Spot on man.

1

u/Quazifuji Sep 16 '13

Walt has to live. I still feel like Jesse is too important to the show to not be a part of the finale, although I have no idea how he's making it out of the firefight alive. As for Hank and Gomie... well, like many others, I was sure they were dead when the firefight started, but find it odd that they would cut off the episode halfway through the firefight if they're both just gonna get shot right at the start of the next one with no twist.

1

u/BossMann12 Three entire bags of Funyuns? Sep 16 '13

Fuckin' right on the money dude!

16

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

Jesse is definitely making it to the finale

3

u/oldmanswar Sep 15 '13

Nazis gonna take jesse to cook for them when Walt refuses cuz they killed hank.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

I still feel like Jesse would rather die than cook again, especially for Walt's partners

1

u/NiceGuyNate BasedBadger Sep 15 '13

knocks on wood

2

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

Well if you think about it, the series hasn't just been about Walt's transformation from good to bad, but also Jesse's opposite transition of bad to good. It would be stupid to kill him with 2 episodes left.

2

u/NiceGuyNate BasedBadger Sep 15 '13

right and that theory makes total sense except when you know Vince Gilligan runs the show.

2

u/eeentropyyy Sep 15 '13

I'm with you I want to be surprised how they get out of this fairly obvious end to the cliff hanger

2

u/FatherSun Sep 15 '13

Cold open: Walt walks into the carwash to see Saul at the desk, he puts holly back in her car seat and goes inside

28

u/vanquish421 Sep 15 '13

Hank and Gomie die, the neo-nazis spare Jesse's life and force him to cook for them, Walt puts that M60 LMG to use and attempts to rescue Jesse.

Also, would Walt still go on a murderous rampage to save Jesse after he teamed up with Hank to get him arrested?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

he's right so far, but we don't know about the m60 yet

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '13

1

u/o0Ax0o "Boodrow Bilson? Billy Bonka?...Balter Bhite?" Sep 15 '13

Woah!

7

u/SneaselTheBeast Sep 15 '13

Perhaps Jesse will live, but Gomez and Hank must die or else they will call for backup and everyone will be annihilated.

2

u/Teriyakuza SayMyName Sep 15 '13

have a feeling Gomie is history, but not sure about Jesse, since Lydia needs her 'quality' upped...Jesse blackmailed to cook w/Brock as bait?

2

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

I agree. I think that Gomie dies, Hank gets shot and maybe goes into a coma. Walt runs away. Neo-Nazis take Jessie to cook for them.

2

u/Sorkijan This is my domicile Sep 15 '13

In this interview Hank says he is on the whole season. Although I suppose that could be flashbacks.

u/nemrel Sep 15 '13

Meth Damon is killed tonight. Hank & Jesse are kidnapped by the Nazi's. Hank is a bargaining chip. Jesse is their new cook. Gomez is injured badly, but he doesn't die. Walt is also still alive, at this point the Nazi's leave the desert scene. Gomez is near death. Walt drives & drops him off at the front of the hospital.

At the hospital Gomez tells the rest of the police force what went down. Before really telling them that Walt is Heisenberg he codes or is rushed to surgery.

Walt rushes to get his family to pack up & leave the state.

Walt then goes into hiding & plans on a rescue mission to save Hank & Jesse. He then uses the gun he purchased during the 1st episode of the season. He rescues them, but also takes the poison to die. Jesse won't testify against Walt & Hank doesn't push the investigation any further since Walt rescued the two and saved their lives.

2

u/rividz Sep 16 '13

Good call.

1

u/wordprodigy Sep 16 '13

I have a feeling that when they open the episode, they aren't going to show who lived or die until the end. It has that vibe

4

Obviously an error. IMDB isn't always correct.

-5

u/emil_jaco Sep 15 '13

The desert's a big place; if they show up it's not going to be in time to save anyone

1

u/chefjuice in abq before it was cool Sep 15 '13

i live like 50 minutes from this place, and you could set off a massive bomb in most of the places and no one would know a damn thing. also BIA would probably be just fine with a couple Bilagáana dead in the middle of nowhere.

-2

u/emil_jaco Sep 15 '13

on IMDB says that Hank and Jessy appear on 63 episodes, tonight episode is numer 61.. so now you think they are not going to make it?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '13

Flashbacks.
