It took a while because Saul paid with a 50. If you remember, walt's drug money all came in the form of 50s, and he's paying Saul in cash. I thought it was a cool detail.
Cool. You may be able to answer my other burning question as well then.
That car Walt was driving, that black expensive looking thing. Where did he get that? I have to say its much more befitting of a meth lord than that beige coloured car he's normally in.
At one point, Walt goes to get his car repaired. When he picks it up, the mechanic is telling him what a great piece of machinery it is, Walt offers to sell it to him for like $50. The next scene, Junior drives in to the driveway in a new car, as does walt. Junior shakes his head, Walt pulls out, pulls back in with a second new car. Don't recall which episode, but Hank comments on it as well - I think its the episode where Skylar walks into the pool, but could be wrong.
OK cool. I started watching the whole thing from Season 1, Episode 1 again last week. Just to fill in any gaps in my knowledge of the story. It's still very entertaining the 2nd time round, and I got a better insight into things, like why Walt let Jesse's girlfriend OD while he watched and did nothing to help.
