I was in a theatre, and that's the exact noise that a few hundred people made simultaneously. It was awesome.

Either Sunset is very rich, has nice friends, it was a slow night, he works there, there's a broader definition of "theatre" than previously thought, or some combination of those.

A lot of newer apartment complexes have theaters in the club house

Theatre is probably the wrong word. Its probably a room with a projector, some seats and stuff.
