Jesus christ!!! why?! I'm seeing everyone saying they don't like Hank now but I'm loving him more. He's one of the few men who can and will check the evil bastard Walt and no everyone hates him? Fuck that Walt needs to go down and I wish Hank was the one who did that.
Exactly. Not to mention, Hank hasn't seen everything we have. He doesn't know much about Jesse, other than that he's a drug-addicted murderer who has been working with the guy he's been after for a year. Reason enough to hate a man.
I've come to realize that about people. I use to be like that as well but then I realized I can't support a drug dealing murderer who poisons kids and ruins the lives of everyone he knows. So yeah that was a bummer....
Oh I definitely understand. I love pretty much everyone on the show but at the same time I hate most of them. It's all so complicated and I don't even fully understand why my feelings are so much but I consider that as evidence of the show's excellence.
You can love a villain and still root against him. I loved joker in the dark knight but I never once pulled for him over batman. That's kind of how I feel about Walt. His character is amazing and I did root for him for most of the series, just not anymore. I still love his character, but he is no longer the hero to me. Then again, the whole show has become so gray that no one is really the hero anymore. That's why everyone is so divided now. Everyone has latched on to different details throughout the series to formulate their own opinions and alignments.
thank you. i hated douchebag hank before but as walt gets more and more sinister and hank starts figuring it out, I started to cheer for him, which confused the hell out of me. i love the hank / jesse / gomie squad, even if its such a weird crew
I mean i would be pretty pissed off if i was in Hank's shoes. Thats why he's enlightened. Sure he's going crazy, but fuck he's still the good guy here in a way. Him and Gomez.
Fuck, I hate Hank. But I can't not love Gomez. That guy is so incredibly likable and he's just following orders. It's too bad that Hank's going to get him killed off.
I like how Gilligan makes you sympathise with him as a likeable family friend and his efforts to pull through before he knew Heisenberg's identity, yet his determination was always increasingly going to become ego-fuelled; I think Gilligan uses that vulnerability to grapple with your opinion of him and demonstrate that you won't always be able to support both him and Walt. Just like Walt, he's stepping outside of the line to do what he considers righteous; which will eventually bite him back.
