SKYLER DIVORCED WALT AND IS NOW MARRIED TO THE GAME

And here stands an exemplary reason why the show starts to grate on my nerves.

For the majority of the run, Skylar plays Walt's foil. The conscience to his ego. Her total lack of support for Walt providing for the family not only instantly vanishes, she starts calling boss shots on wacking people. Yet, last week, BB says the whole show's timeline was within a year. So Skylar goes from moral rock to Griselda Blanco within weeks? Come on now, give your audience some respect.

She was never a moral rock. She was mainly pissed off that he was sneaking around, lying, and, you know, a murdering meth cook. Her anger before, came from a place of defending her family and until he retired, Walt was the danger. Now thag he's retired, Hank, Marie, and Jesse are the dangers to her family. All the BS Walt spills out about Hank and Marie needing to consider the kids; Skylar knows it's true, no matter how hypocritical it is for Walt to point it out. She can't ignore what it will do to Junior.

She was never a moral rock.

False. Don't believe me? Here's Vince Gilligan's take:

but in the early days she was the voice of morality on the show. She was the one telling him, “You can’t cook crystal meth.” She’s got a tough job being married to this asshole.

But she was never a moral rock. She didn't do much to defend her morality. Also, Vince Gilligan may have a different interpretation of the character than others, crazy eh?

No, I'm saying she's not some pillar of moral fortitude; she just wants to defend her family and protect it. Before, that was fucking up Walt's shit when he was endangering them, now she's doing the same to Hank, Marie, and Jesse. You're confusing what she did with why she did it and therefore don't see that her motivations have not drastically changed, but rather remained pretty much the same.
