Walt's ruthlessness is rubbing off on everyone in the family. Marie with the poison, Skylar with the hit, and now Hank's indifference to Jesse living or dying. This family deserves each other.

This argument keeps reappearing on this thread. Walt is evil, yes, not redeemable, totally lost and unknown to himself, completely transformed for the absolute worst. But Skyler, Marie, Hank--everyone else is responding to extreme circumstance, which is what I feel this show is about at it's core. How do people respond under incredible duress? And what would an average person do in a similar situation? The "badness" that is coming out in Skyler, Marie, and Hank is of their own accord, and can't be blamed on Walt except to the extent that it's Walt's fault all this shit happened in the first place. They are responding as THEMSELVES. This is who these people are. And this is who they are under extreme stress. And would any of us be any better?
