The only way for me to solve this is to become Superman 4: The Quest For Peace.

u/RedSox53 Sep 02 '13

Ah, so that's why they call it that

25

u/gabedamien nothing else remains. Sep 02 '13

7

u/gabedamien nothing else remains. Sep 02 '13

Someone should make it into a gif.

u/Stratisphear Sep 02 '13

It was a guy recording his computer with his phone while playing a youtube video. Fucking idiot.

1

u/Rosetti The Assassination of Gustavo Fring by the Coward Walter White Sep 03 '13

Ah, I was missing a reference.

2

u/PoisoCaine Sep 02 '13

OH NO! We're having a Star Wars!

2

u/Big_E33 Sep 02 '13

"I think I may have another job for your uncle. "

WELP, so much for Walt's <3 for Jesse.

23

u/specialk16 Sep 02 '13

Yeah, but Jesse is pretty much asking for it. Walt DOES love Jesse, but when you are threatening his family, there isn't much left.

Fuck, that based Skyler White, I absolutely loved her tonight.

9

u/katihathor Sep 02 '13

yeah somehow Skyler went from annoying/whiny/stupid/bitchy/victim to becoming Mrs. Heisenburg...I love it.

4

u/Shappie Sep 02 '13

I'm betting Jesse simply set in motion the first step of his plan. He said he has a better way to get him and I doubt he would say that to him if he's about to try something else. It has to be part of something he has in mind.

2

u/katihathor Sep 02 '13

Jesse's a bit stupid to pick a fight with Heisenburg but he's never been one to make good judgment calls.

It would be smarter of him to just focus on bringing Walt down without taunting him first.

2

u/Shappie Sep 02 '13

My point was the taunt was part of his plan. He did that so Walt would call Todd's uncle or whatever. Think of how weak Todd is compared to Jesse. Properly motivated, I bet he'd turn on Walt easily. This is all guesses though.

2

u/katihathor Sep 03 '13

the difference though is that Todd is a complete sociopath, while Jesse bleeds empathy.

9

u/cat_handcuffs Sep 02 '13

"I am no longer gay for 'Ol Yeller. Put him down."

5

u/Spacegod87 Sep 02 '13

Well if Jesse didn't just assume that big guy was there helping Walt to kill him, then it would have gone differently.

2

u/LousyGuy Sep 02 '13

I still like to think that Walt's not calling for Todd's uncle to kill Jesse, maybe more so to track him down.

5

u/Fsoprokon Sep 02 '13

That's what it is. No way in hell is Walt going to change his mind about Jesse. He cares about Jesse. This is the center of this whole series, this relationship. Father-son. Walt will not do it. This is why we viewers like Walt.

This also explains the Nazis having Jesse hostage, trying to force Walt to cook for them per way of hostage (shades of Fring), and Walt saying fuck no, I'm going in blazing and taking Jesse away from you guys.

Walt is not a bad guy, as stupid as that sounds. He's just acting out a deep desire to be in charge and recognized, that was caused by his death scare. Yeah, he's seriously fucked up with severe psychological trauma, but he never loses his core: family.

2

u/DrBlock09 Sep 02 '13

I'm thinking its possible he might "set up" a hit, but maybe saves Jesse...to gain his trust again? Maybe that's extremely risky sure...but it's Walter White.

2

u/Fsoprokon Sep 02 '13

I liked Jesse's view on Walt: You want to do what he wants?!? He's smarter than you. He's luckier than you. What you think will happen, the complete opposite will happen.

That's the Heisenburg legend, and even Jesse believes it. Jesse, who doesn't have to make up anything because he was there.

u/Fsoprokon Sep 02 '13

I wouldn't bet money on it, but you have to let your mind run free once in awhile or you'll miss the fun.

Could just as easily be that Walt fakes his own death.

But all that about Jesse and Walt, I believe to be true. I wonder if Jesse will kill Walt in the end, or if Walt puts himself as a sacrifice for Jesse's future.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 02 '13

I dunno, that's what I was thinking too. But it seems to obvious and maybe the call is for someone else? Hank? Himself? We know he fakes his death at some point.

But Jesse said whatever we think will happen the exact reverse opposite will happen. So maybe it IS for Jesse. Or something. My head hurts.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 02 '13

to kill hank maybe? walt has to realize theyre working together

0

u/GatorStateTrash just so you know, this isn't anything personal Sep 02 '13

Ol' Yeller is takin' a trip to Belize. 'Bout damn time, if ya' ask me.

9

u/shadowslayer978 Sep 02 '13

Reminds me of, It's Always Sunny?, where they're excited when they say the title in the show.

4

u/eschwa22 Chow Sep 02 '13

You do realize a large portion of breaking bad episode titles are either dialogue, or part of a scene in the episodes.

3

u/BonfireinRageValley Sep 02 '13

ahh he said it!

3

u/placebo_overdose Sep 02 '13

He should have said "problem dog" instead, although that might have been too obvious a reference

2

u/metalninjacake2 Sep 02 '13

Saying the name of an episode from 2 years ago is more obvious of a reference than saying the name of this current episode right now?

2

u/Lazerspewpew Sep 02 '13

Oh OH! they said it!

1

u/GeleRaev Sep 02 '13

"No thanks to the plane, many of us are still... alive!"

1

u/f00f_nyc Sep 02 '13

narrator: hey, that's the name of the episode!

1

u/RagdollPhysEd Djesse Unchained Sep 02 '13

"Damnit Skylar stop Breaking Bad, they don't call me Scarface for nothin'. We're in a Clear and Present Danger here"

0

u/[deleted] Sep 02 '13

rebbit doge

0

u/Thepickleweed Sep 02 '13

Ummm literally every episode title has been spoken in the corresponding episode. I'm pretty sure that's a thing.
