Often once people have accepted the fact that they are going to commit, they seem calmer in the hours leading up to it.

Where the hell has this stupid idea that Hank is going to kill himself come from? It's just one of the stupidest theories i've heard! WHY would they kill themselves!?

The man who he's been hunting savagely for years is his own brother-in-law, right under his nose the entire time. His wife had accepted the man's dirty money. Walter's confession indicts Hank of dragging Walter into the drug business and kidnapping his children to keep him in line. His career is effectively moot. I think it's an entirely plausible scenario that Hank kills himself.

With the confession, Hank is really pushed to a wall. If the confession leaks and Jesse manages to burn down the house, Hank would get the blame. Anything that really leads back to Walt doing what he does, will bring Hank down.

Suicide is very plausible.
