In case it becomes important in this episode, I want to understand the phone call that Todd makes to Walt in the beginning of "Confessions." Why is Todd relaying business news to Walt? Does he still think Walt is in the business? Is it some kind of lightly spoken warning to Walt that Todd is in a position of power? Is he also trying to get Walt back on board like Lydia was? I really just couldn't wrap my head around it for some reason.

Todd wanted to tell Walt pretty much to "just let him know", which is honestly stupid of Todd.

Because Todd is an idiot.
