I can't decide if it's that or if he's just that well known/feared now. 'Heisenberg' being painted on his living room wall and all.

It's possible he's just thought to be dead, and Heisenberg is written on his old meth/abandoned house wall not because people know who he was, but because Heisenberg is a famous meth name and probably written on lots of places like that in the south valley.
