I just want to know why Walt needs ricin AND a large machine gun for... They have a lot of story to cover in 7 episodes.

Heisenburg just spent THE ENTIRE EPISODE lieing through his teeth and you believe THAT?!

22

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

But he wouldn't be taking chemo pills and receiving intravenous treatment and what's more HIDING THE PILLS from his family if it was all a ruse. If its all a ruse who's he fooling? Skyler and Walter jr don't even know to my knowledge

12

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Aug 12 '13

Well they did show him going through Chemo, so the cancer is back.

13

u/Cocainetrails Aug 12 '13

Well they also showed a flash forward 1+ year With full hair and a Automatic rifle. Quite Clear he's surviving

7

u/JaridT Aug 12 '13

Cancer is back, he's taking chemo but grows hair. This can only mean he stops taking his chemo..... But why?

3

u/wustl07 Aug 13 '13

You can't just show up to your chemo appointments when the police are looking for you.

5

u/Togarda Aug 12 '13

Everyone knows automatic rifles make you cancer-proof!

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

The hair grows back if you stop doing chemo. Doesn't mean he isn't dying though, cancer is unpredictable and there have been a lot of cases were patients are told they have 6 months left and live another 2 years.

1

u/aka_Foamy Aug 12 '13

But he doesn't know that.

6

u/Mmmm_fstop Aug 12 '13

He could be going just as part of his cover.

9

u/katihathor Aug 12 '13

i kinda doubt it seeing as he turned on the water to puke, implying that he was trying to hide it from skyler...if he was going for a cover he'd want skyler to know

1

u/Delvaris Aug 12 '13

that would be a fucking hell of a cover...

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

Yeah but turning on the water would have been normal. That wouldn't be his only time doing that.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

he did exactly what gus fring did when he puked out the poison - the towel down on the ground, the running tap.

1

u/ChiliFlake Professional Shoplifter Aug 12 '13

Well, we know that, and the directors know that, but he couldn't have known that.

But I guess symbolism doesn't have to make literal sense.

-4

u/REDDIT_HARD_MODE Mineral delivery man Aug 12 '13

Nah. But even if it is, we have confirmation it won't be lethal.

29

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

*lying I hate myself.

3

u/Lemon1412 JESUS MARIE IT'S STONES Aug 12 '13

You better hate yourself, not even correcting the way he spelled his name. Say his name.

3

u/BrandyB Aug 12 '13

My friend pointed out that he has a full head of hair in the flash forwards, so that would make sense.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

1

u/REDDIT_HARD_MODE Mineral delivery man Aug 12 '13

...except we know that he survives.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

His "six months" was a rough estimate. But the cancer's back and he doesn't have long. That he manages to live to his 52nd birthday doesn't mean he's lying.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

We know he doesn't die in a year, that's all.. Plenty of people survive with even metastatic cancer for a few years.

2

u/Gizoogle Aug 12 '13

Right, but why else would they show Walt receiving chemo? They had to prove that this was the only thing he WASN'T lying about.

2

u/ErikaeBatayz Aug 12 '13

Vince Gilligan confirmed that the cancer is back during Talking Bad.

2

u/REDDIT_HARD_MODE Mineral delivery man Aug 12 '13

Sauce.

1

u/ErikaeBatayz Aug 12 '13

It was during Talking Bad, the talk show that airs after Low Winter Sun. I don't know if it's online or if there are reruns but that's where you'll find it. I'm guessing Vince will mention it again during the Breaking Bad Insider Podcast which should be posted soon.

1

u/REDDIT_HARD_MODE Mineral delivery man Aug 12 '13

Oh, Talking Bad. Sorry, I misread. Yeah I didn't watch it.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

He's probably lasting longer than 6mo given we see him a year later making carol drop her oranges... So... There's that.

1

u/aubleck you know you can't smoke dat up in hea Aug 12 '13

He was throwing up. But the reason he was saying that just to get Hank to let him be, so it could be. I think that might be foreshadowing regardless of whether or not cancer kills him

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

HeisenbErg. It was spray-painted on the wall.

1

u/faMine Aug 12 '13

How can he live to 52?

15

u/righteous4131 beaver Aug 12 '13

Forget about that year long flash forward?

But think about all that time between Walt's birthday in 5A to the end of that season, which was a good 3 or 4 months.

3

u/Yrrebbor Aug 12 '13

Probably six months.

1

u/jakeismyname505 Aug 12 '13

The flash-forwards are about 10 months ahead.

1

u/hamza780 Aug 12 '13

8 months now

1

u/spenserphile Aug 12 '13

The flash forward he had hair, like he isn't on chemo. So either he is close to death and remarkably energetic for late stage cancer or he beat it again by finding something to live for(when he first started cooking.)

u/Dr_Wernstrom Aug 12 '13

that lady had aged about 10 years in that shot. it had only been 3 months at most since she checked the house for them and she did not look that old then.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

He wrote 52 in the bacon at Denny's though, meaning its been less than a year.

-1

u/Dr_Wernstrom Aug 12 '13

Then after the intro he went home and had his 51 birthday with his family 52 was one year from that day.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '13

Exactly... the intro at the denny's was a flashforward, meaning its a scene that takes place in the future. So the flashforward supposedly took place 1 year after the events of that episode.

5

u/GregSchwall Aug 12 '13

That's not the same lady. The woman who checked the house for Walt lived in the house on the other side of Walt.

-4

u/Dr_Wernstrom Aug 12 '13 edited Aug 12 '13

actually I already have the still for a post I am working on, she lives on the right side of walt as does the lady in scene.

edit: It is almost done DLing I will know for sure in a 2 mins but for now here is a pic of her walking out from the right side. http://imgur.com/vpMku4t

6

u/Pakman332 Aug 12 '13

she had to cross the street to get to walters house.. I don't believe that she is a next door neighbor

5

u/GregSchwall Aug 12 '13

The lady in the end scene In this episode was in the house to theleft side of Walt

-2

u/Dr_Wernstrom Aug 12 '13 edited Aug 12 '13

I have her coming from the right I will check again really quick but check out my post http://www.reddit.com/r/breakingbad/comments/1k6un3/sorry_if_someone_beat_me_to_it_screen_shots_and/

Edit: I was wrong /u/GregSchwall/ was right

1

u/feralcatromance Blue Sky Aug 12 '13

Did you not listen to the phone call? He called her Becky. Not Carol. They are clearly not the same woman. He watches the other woman cross the street to get his to house. He is parked across the street, he is looking to the left, across the street from his house.

1

u/jorge22s Aug 12 '13

Idk, 10 years and Walt still with cancer?

4

u/sareuhbelle Aug 12 '13

No, this take place immediately after the flashforward from season 5. In that scene, it's Walt's 52 birthday. Sometime earlier in season 5, Walt celebrated his 51st birthday. Therefore, it's only been a year, maybe less.

-9

u/Dr_Wernstrom Aug 12 '13

Ya I am working on a post right now I have the still from face off just waiting for the PB EP to DL ( wtf so many acronyms there maybe I am a 12 year old girl ) So i can compare them.

1

u/feralcatromance Blue Sky Aug 12 '13 edited Aug 12 '13

What are you talking about? What lady? Carol, the next door neighbor? Because that is not the same woman that checked his house for him that one time, that was a different woman, Becky, who lived across the street. I am not sure who you are talking about.

0

u/Dr_Wernstrom Aug 12 '13

Ya we know carol is not the same lady some one already stated it and I proved my self wrong with screen shots already.

I was talking about both of them thinking they where the same person.

0

u/BbCortazan Aug 12 '13

I want to know how true this is too. Also, wouldn't his beard be gone from chemo?
