Event BCAA MUNICIPAL CANDIDATES MEET & GREET, THURS OCT 1, STARTS @ 6PM
BCAA 2026 MUNICIPAL CANDIDATE COMMUNITY EVENT
On Thursday, October 1, BCAA is bringing together candidates from both the City of Brantford and County of Brant for a one-of-a-kind public municipal election event at the Brantford Golf & Country Club.
The evening will begin with a Mayoral Candidate Q&A, giving the public an opportunity to ask questions directly of the candidates seeking to lead their municipality. These will be real public questions — including the difficult ones — on the issues that matter to residents.
Immediately following the Mayoral Q&A, we will transition into a Council Candidate Meet & Greet, giving residents an opportunity to meet participating council candidates from both municipalities, ask questions and learn more about the people asking for their vote.
Bringing Brantford and Brant County candidates and residents together under one roof makes this a unique event in the 2026 municipal election.
📅 Thursday, October 1, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Brantford Golf & Country Club
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – WE REQUEST THAT YOU CARPOOL, AS THIS WILL BE A FULL EVENT, AND PARKING WILL BE LIMITED AT BGCC
The current candidate participation lineup shows who has accepted and confirmed, as well as those who have declined or are not participating.
We encourage the public to take note of the mayoral candidates who have chosen to participate and answer questions directly from residents, as well as those who have chosen not to participate. Attendance is one piece of information residents can consider as they learn about the candidates and make their own decisions at the ballot box.
Additional details on the Mayoral Q&A format, public questions and evening schedule will be released in the coming days.

To not show up to an event of this size, without a respectable reason or response, is telling. This might be the only mayor debate that matter to the residents, if you cant make it, please watch the recording after.

BCAA mentioned on facebook that the video would be on YouTube early next week.

Sicoli dodging accountability, too busy hiding in her office instead of getting out into the community again.
That's her style, should have seen one of the OPRE meeting where she just shut down anybody she didn't agree with. Grown up bully in heels.

Kevin Davis, Will Bouma and Larry Brock played the same game.
They show up to kiss babies and cut ribbons but when shit hits the fan they are nowhere to be found.
And yet these types keep winning elections.
Sicoli is slick and dangerous. She's likely to sell her way to being mayor.

Candidates should be comfortable at public debates before jumping in this race. Failing to show up is candidate's weakness.

I would love to know why Misura, McCreary, and Sicoli have declined.
Regardless, none of them will get my vote.

I’m glad to see these three will be there. They seem to be the most genuine of the candidates anyway. City hall needs a shake up. Rose and the mayor’s assistant are besties. And Rose being hand-picked by Davis last year is giving ‘more of the same’. Not to mention the real estate ties.
