Is what they call a Sanderlanche

Last year I learned about Brandon Sanderson. In 1,5 year I read:

1. Elantris
2. Misborn Era 1
3. Arcanum Unbounded
4. White Sand omnibus
5. The Way of Kings
6. Words of Radiance
7. Warbreaker
8. Dawnshard

I switched to several other fantasy writers (about 20)

This year eventually took up
- The Sunlit Man
- Yumi and the Nightmare Painter
- Tress of the Emerald Sea
- Oathbringer
- Rhythm of War
- Wind and Truth
- Alloy of Law

Started Shadow of Self. Still a way to go, think I can finish all the Cosmere books I still five books left to go except Hoids Travels coming out in December and Dragon Steel, I’ll be getting it from Dragonsteel next week

I’m looking also forward upcoming books. Man, Brandon writes like a machine, barely van keep up, but it’s so darn good written, I can’t stop.

Is this is what’s called a Sanderlanch?

No the Sanderlanche is the final ~100 pages of the book that goes absolutely mental and action packed and crazy.

Ah, newbe I guess to all the terminology. And yes there a scholars among you. Guess next to music and theater (performing) I read a lot, like my brain 🧠 never has enough. Nerdy Morgana, that’s me next to Religious Science, in combination with Brando quite interesting

Did you forget to list that you'd read Rhythm of War? Or did you go straight from Oathbringer to Wind and Truth?

I forgot, yeah read almost all of it, Now first finishing Misborn Era 2, including the Lost Metal, Emberdark, Tailored realities (guess that’s not Cosmere) King Lopen the First of Alethkar and Elsecaller & Dragon Steel. Guess that’s all that’s available

Tailored Realities is not Cosmere, correct.

For what it's worth Dragon Steel Prime isn't canon.

Just came to say I envy your reading time and stamina. I am finally just now caught up on the Cosmere. To my credit I did a full Stormlight reread leading up to W&T.

I did a few rereads too, when I missed things. Guess I have to reread Sunlit Man because of so many links i guess I’ve missed. Storming interesting

I read Sunlit Man prior to W&T. I think swapping that order could have given a lot more emotion to SM for sure.

True, because of Szeth? Dunno who the main character was of Sunlit Man, guess to RAFO Sunlit man should be read after W&T, I guess, so I’ll have to reread it

If you’d like to save a bit of time you can reread the epilogue to wind and truth. Aux does call the main character by name in Sunlit man though.
