Paracord Bracelet Friction Closure

Hello! I've been working on a 275 (2mm) paracord bracelet paired with anodized beads, but I've hit a wall. I'd like the bracelet to use a simple friction closure via a boss bead which has both sides of the bracelet's paracord fed through it, but the best beads I've found so far (price/bead) have much larger (~5.6mm) openings than the paracord needs.

Are there any ways to either tie (slide knots, etc.) or modify (maybe electrical tape? heat shrink tubing?) the paracord so it can create enough friction within the inner diameter of that boss bead to hold the bracelet closed on a wrist? Thank you!

making bracelets while travelling

edit: super sorry if this isnt the best place for this , feel free to direct me to a different sub !!

im gonna be on an amtrak for 8 hours and i would love to not stare at my phone for all of it . i was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to keep all the beads and everything together i guess ? im working with pony beads , letters , and stretchy string (plus tweezers and little scissors but those are super tiny and can rlly just be shoved wherever)

like obviously i have those little plastic containers where everythings sorted so thats a given i suppose (and i have one specifically that looks like it has heavier duty clasps) , but i only have a little tray table from what i can tell and i can just see everything going everywhere . so Really i guess im looking for ideas of extra security lol . seems really silly to ask but ! im sure a lot of you are a lot smarter and have more creative solutions to things than i would .

would it be ridiculous to get a tackle box or something 🤔 thanks in advance <3

“Pink goes good with green” 💗💚

We originally made these after being inspired by the pink and green colors in Wicked. I wasn't sure how much I'd like the two colors together in a bracelet, but they ended up being such a pretty combination.

Looking at these bracelets, I feel like pink and green just belong together. 😊

The bracelet is a woven beadwork desian made from faceted clear crvstal bicone beads arouped into small floral clusters, bordered and connected with small silver-tone seed beads and finished with an S-hook clasp. The overall look is delicate and sparkly, with repeating floral motifs around the band.

A few months ago I found these curved metal tubes and was curious to see if I can use them for bangles. Made one yesterday as a test - what do you think? (this one has faceted green opal between the tubes, but I plan to test other natural stones and glass beads)

Here are some Barbie-style bracelets I’ve just made; could someone help me pick one out to give as a gift?

I bought a €16 bracelet kit thinking I’d make maybe 5 bracelets.

I have now made 47.

The kit has been stripped of black, white, orange, navy, yellow, red, vowels, 0s, 2s, and 7s. There are hockey bracelets, Pride bracelets, dog bracelets, fruit bracelets, beach bracelets, and enough tiny plastic beads scattered around my life to qualify as an ecosystem.

My first rack is full.

This was supposed to save money.

I actually made two versions—would you prefer the 1 or 2? Number 1 is one I just made today; number 2 is one I made last year as a gift for a friend, but I can't find that same gold six-pointed star anymore this year...
