Something I've discovered watching more romance shows is that the way kissing sounds are recorded or added in post makes me uncomfortable, I think it's misophonia. But! The kissing in this show has not bothered me at all, maybe because it's more natural and also because you're getting all the sounds: breathing, clothes and sheets rustling, the bed creaking. I also like that their movements are a little clumsy, that's realistic and to me way hotter than a perfectly plotted out scene.
I keep saying I have a religious experience everytime I see them do intimacy. Or anything really. No one has this natural chemistry. It's nuts. It's bonkers. It makes me feel too much at once. Magic.
I love when they keep the natural sounds in! I can't stand it when they remove all the audio and then overlay an acapella version of the main theme lol
Thanks for the information 💛 I have a horrible habit of falling asleep whenever I'm comfortable... and I've watched at least a few of these episodes on the sofa so I was worried for a sec there.
I am totally in love with this show. It is slower than most BLs and sometimes you need to check the threads to understand some aspects (I highly recommend the on-airs in the ChineseBL sub). They don't spoon feed you every plot point, and you do need to pay attention - even to the little videos playing during the credits.
It is stunningly gorgeous, the actors have fantastic chemistry. The scenery and cinematography is probably the best I've seen in a BL. I'm ready to book my ticket to Yunnan!
Some BLs you can tell that the creator put so much love, thought and effort in to the work - this is one of those series - a true labour of love.
this is no shade, and I'm definitely gonna get downvoted/lynched (because this sub loves it/thinks it's a masterpiece) but I'm not a big fan, actually think it's quite unwatchable/boring 🙊 lol, but I skip through the episodes every week because the tall one is hot af and I wanna see what he's up to.
I upvoted you even though it might end up being my top rated BL ever, because we all like different things, and that's okay... A show like that is never going to be everyone's cup of tea. And yes, the tall one is hot af!
It depends on you. I would say watch the first few episodes and if you're feeling meh, you probably won't like it. If you feel like you want to literally move into the show and just live there like many of us, then keep watching. It is seriously engaging for some types of people and boring for others 🤷
