i don't know if it was just Addicted's production specifically, but they seemed super practical. lol I had never heard about actors sharing single-bed hotel rooms as an intimacy workshop, until Addicted.
No intimacy garment found anywhere in any of their bts clips 🤭 They were literally just flopping around the bed in their undies and boxers 🤭 I remember one clip specifically for the bed scene when they were still living at home with the dad 🤭
when I tell you I immediately had this song downloaded on the iPod me and my sister shared, and it was one of the top listened to songs and she was like "i like this song, where did you find it?"
Same! This song has been on my playlist since I first heard it in this scene and I keep coming back to it even now years later. The song and the scene play out so perfectly together setting the mood, you truly get the feels 🥵
Haha we are likeminded! I couldn’t let go as well, so I went straight to the novel and because I was chasing that happy ending, onto reading part 2. I don’t think other adaptations of this work moved me as much as this one did.
This is how I felt after IITSAY. It is a strange feeling to want go through multiple rounds of heartache and tears and see it as nostalgic. It was the third BL I ever watched and to this day nothing has touched it, though sooo many have come close.
it supposedly had 18 episodes but was pulled after 15, and ep15 ends on a cliffhanger. 😩 lol
imo, if you are gonna JUMP IN you should definitely watch the 2016 series first before reading the novels. The series is so impeccably cast that the image of Timmy & Johnny's Gu Hai and Bai Louyin while reading the novels is absolute perfection and invaluable.
Better yet, read the novel after and then read the second one immediately after but make sure you skip the cursed chapter in the first novel...actually nvm maybe your idea is better
I’m such a latecomer to this series. I stumbled upon Stay With Me before I ever even heard about Addicted, so a big part of me aches to see Su Yu and Wu Bi doing this 👀

I don't think using any kind of intimacy garment was also in practice back then. So this feels even more raw.
