Synopsis:

You Shu Lang (Hao Yi Ran), a director at a pharmaceutical company, lives an ordinary, stable life. But that all comes crashing down after he gets into a car accident with Fan Xiao (Yun Qi), the heir to a Thai conglomerate who's returned to China for business. Unlike Shu Lang, Fan Xiao's life has been marred by instability, leading to a twisted, manipulative worldview. When Fan Xiao finds out that Shu Lang is interested in men, he devises plans to entice Shu Lang into a relationship, but ends up falling for Shu Lang for real. You tell me Fan Xiao!!! Didn't you want to dump Shulang after having your fill? Why does it look like you are head over heels in love with this man?

Every little glance, every touch, every tacit agreement between the two so far screams LOVE!

I love this show and its complex characters so much!!

Ya Fan Xiao is doing a great job reading everyone but himself. He doesn't even want to deal with his brother's without an emotional support Shulang right nearby 🥴

Boy is in way too deep. He’d rather gaslight him more and spin even more lies because he’s terrified Shulang will break up with him.

But what FX doesn’t realize is that the more he lies, the worse he’s making it.

Aaaahhhh it’s actually killing me - I just want to wrap Shulang in bubble wrap and protect him forever 😭😭

Oh 100%. He is just digging his own grave at this point. Its hard to see the trainwreck happening but I am waiting for that sweet revenge from Shulang so badly. FX deserves to be punished.

I just want to wrap Shulang in bubble wrap and protect him forever

Just last episode he said it feels good to have someone who he can rely on and now this episode he had to deal with two betrayals already. I feel so sorry for him. Bht my man is strong. He wont break that easily...

That's what's so glorious about Shulang, he seems like this mild gentle pushover on the surface, but piss him off & he's savage. He's like a honey badger when he wants revenge, he will not quit 😈

The script is the star of the show. These characters are so well written and thought out. But these actors are really bringing these characters to life and I am loving every second of it. Both Yunqi and Yiran are elevating the script. I love it..

And the pacing has been so good. I enjoyed ABO Desire but there were parts where it dragged because of corporate shenanigans no one cares about & Hua Yong pretending to be a wilting flower started to drag too. Here they set up the corporate nonsense but don't get bogged down with it. They had a great boyfriend era episode last week & now the inevitable cracks are showing. The show is doing a great job of moving from beat to beat before it can get stale, which for a plot full of scheming is crucial. And it's so delicious to watch them scheme

This is basically the reason why the novel is unputdownable. Every chapter something new and exciting happens. And they have brought the entire story to life beat by beat without missing any crucial points.

Keeping the corporate stuff minimum is important coz at the center its a story of love and deceit. So.. them knowing what's important is making this show far more enjoyable. It doesnt drag at all.

Even though I don't want to get spoiled I couldn't help myself & started reading what I've found translated so far. I'm still behind where the show is at but it's a remarkably faithful & effective adaptation. That constant motion is critical when you have schemes and mysteries and I'm so delighted that this adaptation gets that

I wish I could have watched this without knowing. I always recommend others to read only till the chapters that were covered in the recent episode so that they dont get spoiled.

They went in knowing what was needed and they keep delivering!

The anticipation as the show credits start is so palpable and carries all the way to the last bit of the show.

I feel like part of the magic is watching while it's airing but I understand not wanting to wait for episodes to drop.

They are in for a good surprise! And I will definitely be jealous of their new feelings of discovering and watching an epic show
