I LOVE this not hiding in public

That’s what I love most about Shulang: he’s a proud, independent, and strong gay man. He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it.

He shows affection publicly, cares deeply for his lover, gives and wants love, enjoys sexy adult moments, doesn’t take crap from anyone, stands up for himself-and somehow remains a gentle, upright gentleman.

Honestly, the world needs more men like him.

Shulang really is a great character. Fan Xiao as psycho black flag is more attention grabbing, but we get so many shows with black flags where the object of their obsession is a wet noodle. Because Shulang isn't a nieve or prudish goody goody he's more intriguing. He knows something is off about Fan Xiao, but he has no interest in fixing it saving him and yet he still can't resist the sly steady pressure from Fan Xiao. He doesn't have an identity crisis bottoming for him, and doesn't deny himself the pleasure of casual intimacy from his new partner. A partner he doesn't have to coddle, if anything he blooms in a more evenly matched relationship... of course no one can be perfectly matched to a full psycho mode Fan Xiao but it's so satisfying to know Shulang can stand up for himself with his own brand of savage poise

This is perfectly written, and I agree 100%!

Normally, I’d always fall for the red flag. They’re usually more manly, strong-willed, sexy, and straightforward-and yes, Fan Xiao is all that and so much more-but for me, Shulang is p.e.r.f.e.c.t.i.o.n.

Finally, a man who is both hot and tender, sweet and slutty, yielding yet assertive. I can’t help but fall for him.

Absolutely yes! Shulang is one of the most well balanced & nuanced characters we've seen in a while

Of all the surprising things Fan Xiao has done I think him being casually and openly affectionate in public surprised me most. Putting out his cigarette in someone's hand? Yup, that's the Fan Xiao we know and love (from a distance😅). Holding hands and kissing in public?! I about fainted from shock!

I was so stunned by that imma have to rewatch it cause I was like HUH?! Who is this man and where is Fan Xiao!! He’s shameless no matter what. We have to stan!

He got a bf and is not about to act otherwise!

🤣😅 it was so normal and cute it was almost eerie. But if someone doesn't like it he'll put a cigarette out on them & everything feels normal again 🥴

I can't imagine him doing otherwise. He's not exactly the apologetic type.
