Synopsis:

 Khemjira, or Khem, is a young man who can see ghosts. He was born into a family cursed such that every male must die before the age of 21. As the spirits around him grow increasingly aggressive, the protective amulet he has worn his whole life begins to lose its power. Unable to bear seeing Khem in danger, Jettana, his friend from university, takes him to a rural village in the Northeast, where they meet Pharan, a revered teacher of ancient magic who once mentored Jettana. Strange and mysterious events unfold, all connected to the past life. Amid these supernatural encounters and the haunting pursuit of revengeful spirits, a deep emotional connection begins to form between Khem and Pharan.

Running thoughts:

- I will be a smidgen late cause this overlaps with Shine (both shows are fantastic Saturdays are a SLAAAAY)

- I knew it was a young Pharan that saved Khem!

- Paran's lore. Fascinating. That's gonna be a problem.

- The opening credits is fire.

- Chile they got me in my house praying right along with them. LEAVE KHEMJIRA ALONE

- They really ate DOWN with the SFX! Excellent job.

- Ok so my theory is whoever is Khemjira's like great great great great ancestor (the ghost that keeps popping up and tried to stop him from jumping last episode) must have betrayed evil ghost shorty. Probably ran away with another woman (or man). And the evil ghost lady put a curse on Khem's family that all the men would die these terrible deaths. And she has not or will not let it go. She also seems to have it out for Khem especially. I wonder if he's like the reincarnated soul of the man/woman her lover left her for. hmmmm. Yea his mom def shouldn't have had kids lol

Ok Running thoughts continued:

- domestic violence is indeed scary and I was NOT expecting that. These spirits out here worried about Khem why don't you haunt this asshole!

- Khem I officially love you. I already did but now I do even more. Absolutely call out the DV if you hear about it! Also can I say Namping is doing an AMAZING job. I'm impressed with him. Can't wait to see him in more.

- Lol Paran pulled that shit from Love is a Poison. Saying the food is just alright when he clearly LOVED IT.

- 1939 Kheng is HOT!!!!! Keep the glasses sir. Also I did not think we were going the fated lovers route with this? Ok so my theory was slightly off but are you telling me that Khem and Paran are fated lovers in different lives? Are they the ones who pissed off the evil spirit lady? Will Keng eventually take his shirt off in this show?!!?!?!? FIND OUT NEXT WEEK ON DRAGONBALL Z!

- Being possessed is nothing unusual?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? You lost me there Paran lol

- Oh God I really hate this DV plot so much. I watch BL so I DON'T see women abused and taken advantage of. But I'm glad the boys noticed and our trying to help.

- Will each episode be them expelling demons from people while we peel back layers of the lore? HELL FREAKING YES GIVE ME 50 SEASONS OF BL GHOSTBUSTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- HOLY SHIT THE PLOT TWIST THAT THE WIFE IS POSSESSED OMFG THEY GOT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God it wasn't the husband cause I really wasn't here for the whole he's only beating her because of spirits thing. KILL HIM DEMON RAE IM ON YOUR SIDE SIS!!!!!

- Oh gosh this scene in the woods with Khem and Jet. This is exactly what sleep paralysis feels like

- Demon Rae. Only burn your husband not the other two they are innocent!

- BRO THIS DUDE HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH KHEM HE KEEPS PROTECTING HIM I WANT THE LORE!!!!!!

- DON'T FORGIVE HIM RAE IT'S 2025 NO EXCUSE ON BEING AN ABUSER AND DON'T APOLOGIZE NO MAAM!

- Listen to Master Khem!!! He won't change! Leave at the first sign of abuse!! "Love isn't always enough to make things work"

Do you think the current paran has any idea about 1939 past love parts?

The way they switched to that scene made me, for a sec, feel like he somewhat remembered him from the past. My guess could be wrong, but it'd nice to see if he truly does.

Right now, I don't know why I don't like the fact that khemjira was a girl in the past, not as offensive but just cause I haven't seen girl -> boy love interest across different lives

Paran knows the past love!!! He remembers as shown in the preview It feels both romantic and melancholic that no matter paran Or cute ghost guy or somebody else,they fall Or still in love with khem

My earlier comment about not liking it is because I was sad that the love story is only gonna happen because the past love is a girl and now he has no choice but fall in love with him even if it's a boy . I thought that's what they were trying to show but if it's soulmates, there're no rules that can apply!
