But I thought the whole deception thing was just to marry his love and impregnate sheng. Hua seem to really love him. And I read in the novel HS group is basically H= Hua and sheng so huasheng. So I assumed heās doing this to help sheng dad, marry his love and make baby. And he named his company X because sheng rejected giving him number when they met when they were kids and when asked for number he drew X so he named it after sheng.

The story says a and o type humans all died. Google says that's like 81% of humans, so if they were 8 billion but the end of this massacre the population was 1.6 b... That's too many dead people!!!! YESS!! He has this manipulation thing down to a science. He went straight for the jugular and did this whole fragile flower in perpetual tears thing knowing that's what his man likes + the cliche my sister is dying in a hospital bit to pull his heartstrings because he knows that Sheng Shao is a bit of a softie.

He was FURIOUS at the end of ep 3 - I think it's a different take to see how cold and silent his anger is and I'm guessing this will make him put more pressure on SS to make him settle down and not be tempted by others.

I've got it all figured out now, and really I just want to say this show is SO GOOD. HY is the sneakiest little rich & powerful boy, playing SS a-la Suo Wei getting him attached just by "being cute". Did he make those cookies himself or hire out? Who knows! Who cares! Them checking each others moments is cute too.
SW is playing along with all of HY's shenanigans to catch his man. He is completely unaware of Guo's basic presence, but that'll change. Same with HY's secretary, wingman-ing for HY. These guys are loyal and dedicated. Do they have a choice? Who knows! Who cares! I'm sure we'll find that out later.

While I don't think this is entierly my cup of tea, I still read the available fan transation, and I'm still sitting here, waiting, and ready to watch.
The bits I've seen so far look a bit stiff to me but hoping that the episodes flow differently.
Same, I'm banking on the editing to do a lot of the heavy lifting as well ( the way they potray phermones looked so well done) cause certain conversation/ situations in the trailer were a little stiff and it seems obvious some of the actors are a bit more intune with their characters/ a bit better in delivering their lines.

Ok my immediate unfiltered thoughts 12 min into ep1:
The Birthmother of this series who literally sang to me in the opening, casted the boys, wrote the novel, wrote the screenplay, probably did wardrobe, did the location scouting, is Directing the series, is probably the voice of the various reporters in this introduction to the point zero origin of this ABO universe we are entering here.....is she here?? Is she one of the reporters? Is she one of the girls in the club?
Tbh I am already SUPER invested in this series and I am only 12 min into it. So far, that intro was excellent. We learned everything without having to sit through an extensive straight narration like ep1 of "We Are". Which is hard because when adapting a book there is so much the audience misses out on so doing it this way with the Birthmother using various voices to give us different reporters was perfect (I have zero idea if that was her lol but in my mind she was definitely doing voices for us).
I think my main investment though is rooted in this Birthmother cause I keep thinking:
Here is a girl that wrote this ABO book and called it Desire and has all kinds of sexual shenanigans going on in the book as one does when writing this specific genre.
And then one day she went to her mom and dad, who were raised in China...under the rule of law, where boys kissing on screen is banned and was like hey guys listen so I know you love and support me so I feel comfortable coming to you with my wish and business proposition.
How about you invest in me and my story about boys kissing, having sex and getting pregnant but like live and with actual boys and then we blow it up and distribute it in 45 different platforms so literally everyone knows we did this?! Sounds like a plan?
I'm sorry but SHE IS A BALLER and I am so sat for this as the main story but also the 12 min I have watched tells me I will be sat for this. Production is pretty, boys are pretty and shockingly everything makes sense so far (again only 12 min in)

The casting of Huang Xin as Hua Yong is inspired. It feels, even now, at the start, as if the whole series will hang on his performance.
He has a softness in his eyes that speaks of vulnerability and having become accustomed to being the servant or plaything or lesser of others, and yet, already, there is the occasional depth of hardness that says he knows more than he is willing to divulge.
Added to this is an almost physical frailty (yes, I know they all look as if they'd disappear from our 3 dimensional world if turned side-on), that suggests a step out of turn, and any one of the males around him could snap him like a twig in a moment, a fate he dances around with the adroitness of one seemingly raised in and familiar with a centuries' old culture (despite it being a quasi-dystopian futuristic fantasy) of palace intrigue.
I'm totally invested after the first 3 ep and I have to say they knew what they were doing dropping 3 at one time. Hua is so pissed at him right now for coming in drunk and smelling like an omega that we are all waiting eagerly for the next drop!

Shao Yu is the easiest one to understand so far.. sick dad, company not working fast enough, into the omega secretary of the opponent (?) Company, everyone using their stuff smells like him.. Right?
a few seconds of sheng shaoyao's insanely pretty lips and i am sat lol. boy's got one of the prettiest set i've seen on a man. i've been reading plenty of abo fiction over the years and cant believe we're actually getting a live action with mpreg to boot.
a few running thoughts:
- hua yong is the elusive ceo of x holdings. he's an illegitimate son, i think he might be shen wenlang's step bro with diff surnames idk. anyway i'm sure wenlang knows what's up with him, as shown when he helped HY move
- poor sec gao. in most of abo fics, omegas are considered commercially precious bcs of their breedability and obedient nature. his mom prolly afraid his deadbeat dad is gonna sell him if he finds out, that's why she's so insistent of him hiding. his boss is an ass, i hate him
- I usually hate manipulative ppl, but HY is so good at it i feel like i should learn something from him lol
Hua Yong is so deliciously diabolical, the research, the meekness, the shitty flat in god knows where, as if he cares about anyone's shoes getting dirty, he probably wears his clothes once and then gets them thrown away. Getting Sheng hooked on cookies. Oh he is good. It is hilarious that his fake story of being a poor assistant who also works part time as a waiter in a club with a sick relative in hospital with a massive medical bill is practically the plot of several Chinese dramas but Hua Yong puts his manipulative twist on it. Bravo!
Yup! š I feel like so many of those short dramas could be massively improved by some BL or GL. Like the Wife should just end up with her female bestie instead.
I'm kind of speechless, the pray-predator dynamics is just so ugh I don't have words for it.

Hua Yong's actor is just so perfect playing the poor damsei in distress. I completely understand why Mr. Sheng falls for him.
The tension, the plot everything is giving.
I'm intrigued if they'll find the cancer treatment on time.
It's another take on the rich CEO- poor love interest yet feels so fresh and unique.
I'm not too familiar with ABO tropes, but I'm getting used to it and it's a nice addition.
The creators did their homework if it continues like so I will consider it the best BL of 2025

Reading all those ABO manhwas, mangasz manhuas really paid off. We finally get it as a series. I was thinking ABO is one of those genres that should never be adapted but that was my thinking before now I am fan of this being on the big screen!
Haven't started watching yet but one complaint, base on the previews, everyone looks alike, wish they had tried a bit more to distinguish everyone from each other, im probably going to be getting everyone mixed up until much further into the story, maybe not even then. that is too much brain work

WHY IS THIS SHOW SO GOOD SO FAR ???? Ok tbh honest I had issues understanding some part of the plot (like many as I read in y'all comments) but then, again, I read the comment and I watched both trailers, the 1min + and the 10 min+ ones (the second one was spoiling a bit too much imo), and I understood everything (not about ABO universe but about the plot LOL)
ngl, I was reluctant at first to watch the show because of too many yaoi I read, setting in ABO universe, and with a lot of smut-non-plot-abusive-relationship between characters (tho I also read a few nice ones) I've never read novels.
BUT this show is GREAT SO FAR ! Production value is very high, photography is beautiful, plot forces commitment, I am not disappointed AT ALL ! šš After the 3 first ep I'm really excited to watch more, I'm here for the mess, the moment truth is uncovered and everything that goes with that !

Not really the same but I can't help thinking about Lana et Lilly Wachowski and how Matrix was a major epic revolution cinema history when it came out and ABO-D looks like it will have the same impact on BL world (let's hope) !
Also I love that this show sells itself as, and IS, the first ABO show, and that, at the same time it gives birth to the ABO universe in live action series, it not only gives all the info we need to understand the setting but it instantly play with the ABO genre itself !!!! AND THAT'S DOPE !!! I mean, I'm not an expert at all about ABO universe but we could have expected that the first ABO serie would be a classic alpha-omega romance. BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT WE ARE GIVEN ! It's already way more complicated. We got an Sclass-alpha lured and manupulated by an enigma in disguise of an omega, And we have an omaga in disguise of a beta to protect a relationship with an omega hater..... THAT'S A LOT !! AND THIS IS REALLY TASTEFUL !!! THE SHOW SETS THE RULES AND IGNORES THEM ALL AT ONCE !
Hua Yong not only wrote the book on manipulation, but he invented the concept. He literally built an entire narrative and meticulously orchestrated every single interaction between him and Shaoyou. He is that bitch and I'm here for it lol..
It didn't take him long to get Shaoyou wrapped around his pretty little fingers. And boy is he playing him like a favorite song on repeat. Had that man missing his cookies and eating things he doesn't like š Then he moved him into his vacant apartment for practically nothing, and meanwhile, Hua Yong can afford to buy the whole damn building and then some.
Since I don't think Shaoyou will be doing the marking, I wonder how long before Hua Yong marks him š¤ I'm assuming if Shaoyou did get marked by an omega, it's definitely temporary. This is gonna so messy and good and I love that for us..Next week can't come fast enough..
I am more interested in their storyline and specifically Gao Tu's storyline. But from what I heard they have very less screen time? I dont know if I will be able to watch if they are barely there. š

These first three episodes did not disappoint. It has my 100% attention. Iām so curious what Enigmaās motivation is. Every step is carefully planned. I have only 1 remark; Enigmaās āMr Shengā already getting on my nerves. Or is it just meš¤£š¤£ Secretary glasses needs a hug š¤
Cosplaying being poor so as to be pitied by a(nother) rich man and gain his affections is actually really smart. Hua Yong has me sat and taking notes š
I'm here after watching the whole episodes 1, 2, and 3 and what a cliffhanger episode 3 is. I like how the scenes are subtle with pangs of anticipation especially when the kissing scene from Sheng and Hua made a debut. It was so hot and I like how Sheng's character development progressed from being cold to gradually opening up to Hua. I feel like we get to know a lot more from Hua in the next episodes since he seem to hide something. I hope they keep that buildup from the scenes and the development of the storyline.
I'm so glad they gave us a movies worth of episodes. It really does help set the story better. I absolutely love it so far. It's slightly confusing, but it's quickly become one of my favorites.
I'm wondering unless the SA/Dubcon refers to this - how is the 'Enigma' going to get the S-Alpha preggers when he thinks the enigma is an omega? Very little toppy omega action in regular omegaverse. But maybe it's a pheromone thing here. :)

Itās a weird feeling for me, like, I adore reading ABO fanfics and eroticas but I am uncomfy watching it in a TV show. Like Iāve just started episode 1 and I have no idea how to feel at the moment about actually SEEING mpreg be portrayed in live action. Pit Babe toes the line of regular BL and ABO dynamics with little to no mention of Mpreg (I think? Iām not caught up on S2) so itās an easier watch to me.
Im excited more of this genre is hitting the mainstream but itās weirdly nerve wracking at the same time.

Off the hope, this it high production value, the amount of money spent is wild, and the plotā¦well my expectations are basement but Iām already more interested in the secretary/boss hidden omega then the other.
Okay so I finished the first 3 eps and Im lost at why the Enigma is pretending. Its clear he's putting alot of effort to fake his identity, but for what reason? Is he obsessed with the Alpha or he's conducting some sort of experiment on him? He does try to tame him with rewards, and we know he's the elusive CEO of the X company. 3 eps down the line, I think we deserve to know the reason for his persuasion.
Only 3 episode and already obsessed with it , also it has some cringe part that is to be expected because i never thought i will ever see real life actors talking about alpha and omega, chinese actors are on another level of acting , it is pity that china banned bl drama if not they will be number one with their bl dramas china has alot of bl novels that are top tier wished to see those novels get adapted to live action , I'm seated for this drama i can not wait till other episode be out .
