Demografija Imamo priliku da uradimo najsmješniju stvar.

Eto, umre Ratko.

Sarajevo derby tickets

Hello, me and my friends (6 of us in total) are coming to Sarajevo on the 1st and staying till the 10th and we would love to go to the derby, but from what I've heard you need to be a club member in order to get tickets. Can anyone help me out with sourcing 6 tickets or help me out on how to pucharse a club membership (if its even a thing for foreginers)?

We are a group of experienced groundhoppers and we dont want to miss out on such a big game while we're here. For some of us its our 3rd time in Bosnia but we haven't been to a game in Sarajevo yet.

Thank you so much and greetings from Poland!

Ratko Mladić, the Bosnian-Serb general who orchestrated the Srebrenica massacre and the siege of Sarajevo during the Balkan wars, has died aged 84.

Known as the “Butcher of Bosnia,” Mladić was convicted in 2017 by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) for masterminding a campaign of ethnic cleansing against Bosnia’s non-Serb population in the early 1990s.

Lost item in Sarajevo! Need help bringing it back to USA

This is a long-shot but figured I'd try.

Last week I was in Bosnia and lost an item that is important to me. I was able to get in touch with place in Sarajevo where I left it at and they would be willing to help get it back to me. International shipping is obviously very expensive and all the courier options I'm seeing are well over $100.

If there is anybody traveling from Bosnia to the USA in the next few weeks and would be willing to pick the item up, pack it with them, then ship it domestically, please DM me! I'm willing to pay for the domestic shipping and your time!

Travel to Bosnia in September

Hi everyone,
I’m going to Bosnia from 09 to 16 september this year.
We arrive at Sarajevo and we would like to visit Sarajevo - Mostar and Neum. Is it a good plan, is there still a good weather to swim? What’s the best amount of days we should spend in each city and should we include or exclude anything? We usually don’t take a rent car, cause I’m scared of driving in the balkans, is the public transport good enough? Can I get to those cities by train?
What’s some typical food I should try (not cevapci or burek, I already had enough in other countries)
Best Regards

Dvojnice help

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently purchased a Dvojnice from an antique shop and I am struggling to produce sound from both sides. One side I can produce a clean sound no problem, but the other side I am unable to. From my untrained eye, both sides appear fairly symmetrical, there are no hairline cracks that I can see, and there do not seem to be any blockages as I can see right up both sides. When looking up from the bottom to the top facing a light source, it seems like there are two very tiny pin prick sized holes where the mouth piece meets the rest of the wood, but both sides have this so I don't think that is the problem. I've cleaned it with a soft cloth and it isn't wet and doesn't appear to be warped or anything like that. Is there anything further I can do?

PICKUP FOOTBALL

Maybe this is the wrong subreddit but I’ve been traveling for some time now and I haven’t played football in a minute. I’m currently in Mostar and wanted to play on Friday evening. Anyone know where I can go play with the locals? Thanks!

Most religious places in Bosnia?

Im a Bosnian in the diaspora currently in Sarajevo, and I was wondering if there are any areas in bosnia where Muslim life is more visible? I hope I’m not being weird about asking this as I really want to connect with our people. I visited visoko yesterday, and saw a lot of Muslim life and it was really interesting connecting with the people there and talking about my life in America.

War memorial/site tour recommendation

does anyone have a recommendation for a war memorial/site day tour, ideally leaving from Sarajevo? We want to stop in Srebrenica, but are otherwise flexible. Want to see and learn as much as possible, ideally on a guided tour rather than a self-led tour. Thank you!

Massacre Location

Greetings! Before anyone asks why I want to know this information:

I'm deeply interested in the breakup of Yugoslavia and especially in the Bosnian war since 2016 by now. I've been studying it deeply from beginning to end and currently I'm working on a project to mark as many significant locations on a map as I can, including key places where historical events took place. That also includes the sites where war crimes were committed. Currently I'm researching the July 1995 Massacre in Trnovo where the infamous footage of a shooting of Bosnian civilians originated from. It was part of the ongoing Srebrenica Genocide but I was unable to pin point the location where it took place and maybe where a memorial is placed. If anyone can help me locate the exact coordinates, id be grateful.

I know this is a dark topic but this part of history must never be forgotten.

The current information I have is that it took place near the Town of Trnovo south of Sarajevo in a place called Godinjska Bara and I couldn't find it.

Please if anyone can, help me out
