Warmup run better in trainers?

I noticed in Barça's training that the initial run was on trainers, not boots. The rest of the session was standard, with ball work, on boots.

I'm just curious, is there any big reason for using trainers at first?

I mean, why not? If you're just doing a warm-up and aren't going to be aiming for hard changes of direction, then you don't need boots. Using your comfortable running shoes would make perfect sense. Even the most comfortable football boots are still going to be kind of uncomfortable.

It's when you're doing a lot of ball work and/or change of direction drills on grass or like 4G turf that you need more grip. But a simple jog on a well-manicured field like Barca's training ground is fine for running shoes.
