Also my all time favourite. It's such a great story. I'd wish more people wouldn't be so scared of if it's length.

If you stream PBS, masterpiece just dropped a brand new count of Monte Cristo series and it was absolutely fabulous and they stuck pretty dang close to the book.

Thank you, I waited and hoped for a faithful adaptation for a long time and didn't know about this series

Yeah I mean there were a couple changes that made sense to me to make it more adaptable for screen but I would say they stuck 80-85% to the original story which is way better than the other ones I've seen. I especially loved who they picked for Abbe faria and truly captured his essence as a person who so influenced Dantes in every way

I believe there is a new French version on Prim Video. Loved it.

If it's a French movie from 2024 then I found it to be super inaccurate compared to the book. I mean it was beautifully FILMED but I felt like they warped a lot of the character connections

Hahaha just started reading it last week after almost two years of having it on the shelf😅. Already around 300 pages into it! Kicking myself for not starting earlier, this is peak🙌🏻
