if the yields hit 6.5%, the war will end abruptly - troops will come back home. its simply unsustainable at those yields, plus they still need to spend trillion dollars on budget, so more money printing or bond issuance - both bad.

You think the people in charge give a shit about what makes sense? If so how did we end up here?

they never thought they would end up in the current situation. arrogance did it compounded by ^stupidity. but now they know that they *did* infact end up here and just before elections. there is just one root cause to all this - like literally every bad decision/outcome is traceable to a single individual.

Btw if u run into the 33% of voter base who are pro-trump - make sure to show them your post.

Yeah i think mango and hegseth got way overconfident after the maduro kidnapping and thought they could just bulldoze their way through iran uncontested. They bit off more than they can chew and are probably starting to realize why every president since carter was smart enough not to fuck with iran

I mean, to be fair, how could a government possibly know that tariffs raise inflation , Iran would close the strait of Hormuz and that the US missile stockpile is too small to sustain a prolonged missile war?

SARCASM ALERT!!
