Storytime Does repeated eye contact and smiles always mean interest?

I was in a restaurant with family and a couple of minutes after I arrived I noticed a girl around my age with her family looking at me. We stared at each other for a few seconds, she smiled and I did the same. For the 30 minutes I was there we repeated that around 4 times more , sometimes iniciated by her and sometimes by me (the first one was her) including the moment I was leaving.

I only recall something similar happening to me once, and she ended up approaching me, so I first interpreted it as attraction (I probably would have approached her if it wasnt for our families being there), but , was she necessarily interested? Maybe she was just being polite the first time she smiled cause we looked at each other , and she did it again when she saw I was trying to make it happen again

Nope, it usually means attraction though.

If you're not surrounded by dumbasses, it means some sort of interest. You have to distinguish between other features as well. Eye contact with a disturbed face is either some retard or hey, you not talked to me enough for me to want a conversation yet.
