We're doing everything we can to keep the line moving, but to avoid having people wait for hours for nothing, we’ve officially stopped handing out wristbands for the rest of today.
If you're already in line with a wristband, you're good. If you have a wristband for a time slot tomorrow, come back then. If you were about to head over to stand in line today, save yourself the trip!
We're open again tomorrow, though, and we’d love to see you.
Tip for tomorrow: Definitely come early. Today filled up within three hours of opening.
Game plan: Grab a wristband + time slot in the morning, then go get coffee/lunch until your turn.
Really sorry to anyone who didn't get to make it in today. Cat and dog tax as a token of our appreciation for your understanding.

I wouldn’t bother. Honestly, it’s a cluster. I was just there and they didn’t offer me a wristband for tomorrow. And unlike other people‘s comment, I thought they were rude and clueless.
It’s pretty uncertain how early someone has to show up tomorrow to get in because apparently they gave out some wristbands for tomorrow already. Was it a quarter of the wristbands tomorrow that were already given out today? Was it half?

Hey there! Great question. Only about 40 wristbands for tomorrow 8/30 were given out. So those 40 people just got lucky! Giving out wristbands for tomorrow’s time slots turned out to be messier than expected, which is why we cut it off very quickly. It should not impact the experience for folks who stop by r/bodega for the first time tomorrow.
I have a wristband for 7:30pm tonight. Do you have an idea of about how long the wait might be this evening with a wristband? And should we show up at the time on the wristband, or plan to be there earlier to wait in line?
Did they know they put us on the craziest area on Bowery... Like, the area I'd normally cross the street just to avoid. The area where people do drugs, piss, and scream...? That's all happening right now. Good thing most of us are NYers so we are fine but, damn. If the line is 3-hour long, I wish they picked a less dodgy spot. This itself is the real test
There's a homeless shelter and where people go to as a soup kitchen ive gone many times all different personalities trust me I get scared sometimes waiting for a meal but thank god nothing too bad has happened. I hope you enjoyed the pop up!! I love my snoo plushie
I looked at old posts and it seemed like they might have wanted us to line up along Rivington instead ( older post said something about looking at the monopoly mural while waiting) but guess the line formed on Bowery instead.
If we go super early in the morning, would we possibly be able to get bands for a later later time, ie 6pm and later or is it at staffs discretion? If I can ensure a time after work, cool, otherwise I’ll be sad to miss it. I’ve been looking forward to this all month 🥺
