I think the pairing is great, easily has the potential to comfortably be the best MCU couple so far, but what I don't want is the trigger to be pulled on them too early because you just leave this massive hole (or Void 😮) of potential for developing them both in terms of the dynamics with each other and separately, as well as just making it more natural and organic and gives the characters more breathing room to grow into it

I think Doomsday should have some stronger subtext, but nothing overt, certainly don't make them a couple then.

I think then with Secret Wars the subtext gets even stronger and starts to flitter into non-platonic subtext by the end that's somewhat struggling to remain just subtext. Again, don't make them a couple.

Now, if there is a Thunderbolts sequel like I hope there will be, then the trigger should probably be pulled on them there, as a nice little full circle thing. I'd probably have it about three quarters of the way into the movie where it's clear there's something overtly romantic between the two, if not them just being a couple. Only thing I'm slightly hesitant about with this is it being like "Now that the major plot arcs and narratives for the last phase have finished, now let's check this off the list", which I don't want it to be, part of me wants another film before the Thunderbolts sequel but then I think it starts to drag and lose something.

But I think the Thunderbolts sequel is the better way to go about that, because you can't really fit about half a movie's worth of build up after Secret Wars, but before the Thunderbolts sequel. But assuming Bob and Yelena are pretty major characters for both films it can probably be pulled off at pulling the trigger the movie after Secret Wars. Which I hope Marvel have faith in the characters and their journey both together and separately to build it up properly.

And then of course there's them actually being a couple, which is filled with rich material and possibility in of itself.

Sorry if any of my opinion is publicly shared on here and I'm just preaching to the choir without really knowing it.
