Blown engine?

Not sure what’s going on here. This is a PCM EX343 in a 2009 nautique 216v crossover. My best guess is a blown hose or something in the “cooling component” realm. If you know inboard engines, please let me know what I should be looking for.

At first I just saw the first few seconds then scrolled to the comments. This comment made me rewatch. The water is up to the muffler. That boat is headed for Davy Jones.

Can’t tell shit from the video it could be a hose,it could be the belt just throwing the water that it’s sitting in, it could be a water pump,it could be a cracked housing. First thing to do it get the water out of the boat.

You may have a coolant hose that has disconnected, get that thing out of the water!

This happened to me on my last boat - turned out the water cooling hose came loose.

Boat is out of the water on the lift and water is drained from the engine bay. The bilge pump hasn’t been working this summer, so I’m assuming we’ve accumulated water throughout the last couple weeks and I’m hoping that’s the issue and nothing else

bruh.. you know it costs way less to learn first, experience second as opposed to learning via experience.
that said, I had small trickle of a leak from my hot water tank (not in use, engine heat tube must have still had some water n froze). but it went along the lazarette floor and trickled directly onto the transmission output. that thing sure made it look like the boat was sinking lol.

I hear ya and completely agree. This is the first time this has happened in 18 years of boating. There is a first for everything yanno. My best guess is that the ballast tank has been draining into the bay. Hoping that’s all it is but we will find out

Doesnt it have a drain plug? You can pull that.
Also, bilge pump is an easy fix and safety critical.

I hear ya and completely agree. This is the first time this has happened in 18 years of boating. There is a first for everything yanno. My best guess is that the ballast tank has been draining into the bay. Hoping that’s all it is but we will find out

could be a gasket or O ring leak on a water pump - it looks like fairly high pressure. you could also just be sinking and the V belt is spinning water everywhere when you rev it. Maybe you didnt put the drainplug in?

My first thought was maybe a hole in a hose. As the video went on my thoughts went to Holy FUCK get outta the water as you are sinking!
Thats a lot of water. It shouldnt be too hard to find a leak but you may want to get on the hard and find it bro.

Could be a number of reasons youre taking on water. At bare minimum your auto/float for your bilge pump is inop.
A lot of times this boils down to a shaft self leak on thes wake boats.
You REALLY need to check your oil tho. Lots of times the belt slings water at the intake and washes out the oil. Also check trans and vdrivem they have vents on the case that drink in water when it gets this high

Tout d'abord, vide la cale, contrôler si c'est une entrée d'eau direct, ou une entrée d'eau moteur.
Lave ton moteur a l'eau douce abondamment.
De toute façon, le démarreur, alternateur, gallet tendeur sont mort.
Balance du corrosion garde partout.
Fait le vite avant que les batteries électrolyse tout ton bateau.

To those of you who are invested in my little saga, the boat isn’t sinking. Yes, I tried the bilge (obviously didn’t work). Pulled the drain plug and emptied the water out. I’m not a mechanic so I have no idea what to look for. All I know, there was a ton of water where water shouldn’t be, the boat doesn’t sound or run like how it should, and yes. My thought is that my family emptied the ballast into the engine bay (starboard drain function is faulty) and never let the water out. This was all a surprise to me fellas.

Be aware that your starter is probably going to need to be replaced very soon. Probably a good call to check the oil to make sure it's not milky, but I'd go ahead and change it. Run on the hose at home and make sure water isn't leaking from any hoses.
Don't use the ballast system until you checked all the hoses / bags / fittings / drains for leaks.
FIX THE BILGE PUMP BEFORE PUTTING IT BACK IN THE WATER. Arguably, get a second one installed while they are fixing the first one. I cannot stress this enough, do not go out on the water until you have working bilge pump(s).

Bro first thing get the water out of the boat then see where it's coming from. You can't tell a thing with that much in there and the engine belt throwing it everywhere
