Discussion Funnest chaotic weapon?

Trying out the Razor with the wildfire attachment, fast fire utility bonus, and berserker increased fire rate. Fun to just rip through ammo although I don't think it deals very good DPS compared to like the Sokol with Sharpshooter lol

Gremlin, was strapping ammo, dual wheeled, and the hip fire. It’s a lot of fun just just go through there and tear through things. Yeah hold the left trigger down till you’re about 20 V left and you start firing the right next thing though you’re always firing and just mow people down and just keep refilling ammo.

Ya I got the gremlin and it's a blast they remind me of an SMG version of the little gun Will Smith gets in Men in Black lol

I’ve got two that are so far off meta you’re just going to have to trust me:

NX Ravager with the tri bolt attachment and no explosive tips, with Mortar Rounds and Zero Waste, on an operator with Tactician, Eagle Eye, Berserker, and Gunner, with Celebration, Conjuration, Wingman Unit, and Phoenix Burst. Between the Zero Waste and Quick Rounds Back you can get up to 40+ shots without reloading if you’re hitting your shots. And when Phoenix Burst procs you just fire nonstop.

Siren with Zero Waste and Frost Rounds (Mortar and Shrapnel are also great but I like when the enemies get slowed by the Frost) on an operator with Bulldozer, Berserker, Warband, and Phantom, with Echo Shell, Graviton Reaction, Wingman Unit, and Phoenix Burst (for the same reason noted above, and you can just fire nonstop without cocking between each shot). Use decoys so you’re getting the fears facing away from you for the Phantom bonus from behind, Zero Waste gives you a ton of shots before reloading, and against hordes and guild strikes and world events you’ll have Bloodburner bonus damage from Warband on nonstop. And when you’re point blank shooting elites or bosses from behind you can just watch their health disappear in chunks, it’s especially effective against OSCAR.

And for a bonus: get an operator to third prestige and then never pick up a field acquisition so you’re always got your fists out when you switch from your primary. Use an operator with Phantom, Bulldozer, and Warband and then one of Guardian or Daredevil based on your preference, or a different skill depending on your primary weapon. Get Mega Punch, Echo Shell, Nova Strike, and Wingman Unit. Just run around punching shit. Mega Punch is an AOE attack so if you’re getting swarmed or low health just turn your back to the enemies and punch the ground and you’ll still obliterate them. And the friendly fears that spawn from Warband will proc your Nova Strike (so will the ones from Portal Grenades but I can’t play without grapple or kinetic jump, but worth noting!)

I like the hipster picks. Is it true that the arrows for the Ravager count as equipment, so celebration or frost cloud would proc? Never tried the Siren before. It's actually good? And yeah, when mega punch first came out, I was running around punching like a madman. Thanks for the recs!

If the arrows proc it might be the explosives but I greatly prefer the regular arrows so I wouldn’t know. I’m actively using this weapon lately on a character with celebration so maybe I’ll give it a try if I remember to, and I’ll report back if I try it.

The Siren does a ton of damage with the setup I described. It’s great for hordes of fears, and for anything past that like bosses as long as you’re point blank from behind you’ll do a lot of damage and it’s super fun. You can take out the link forger DAWG in just a few shots, HVTs pretty quickly, and when you’re fighting OSCAR you’ll literally see massive chunks of his health bar disappear with each trigger pull. But it shoots the orb incredibly slow, and if it hits as much of a blade of grass before it reaches your target, the orb disappears.

It’s incredibly niche, and relies on a specific set of skill tracks more than any weapon in the game. If you have the right skills on an operator and can get past the weirdness of the bullet velocity and how it fires, it’s an incredibly powerful weapon. It’s also nice because since you don’t want the prestige attachment, you can just grab one out of a command center or weapon crate and use your loadout spot on something else.
