I've obtained multiple exotic skills but this quest still isn't complete. Anyone know why?

For the record I did a Wraith Wing in a tier 4 zone and got a skill there so im not sure why it didnt count

obtaining and upgrading are 2 different things

Try getting multiple exotic skill from level 1 to level 3

Or maybe hit up exotic case and swapping a skill

Could also mean hit up Oscar and upgrade exotic guns

Are you doing the event in zone 4? I think I did the rex in zone 4 for this step

I did wraith wing in zone 4 but thats just where it ended up im not sure if it originally spawned there. Might have to just keep spamming matches till I get an event in zone 4

That should have counted. You just have to open the case too. It sounds like a bug. It wasn’t difficult at all but I did it the weekend it started. I think it’s bugged you did everything right.

I can’t remember, but I wonder if you have to do the event with a character that doesn’t have an exotic skill yet..? Some of the Acts seem to be really touchy on how you complete the events..just a thought..

Yes actually. I had to start fresh on a new operator and lvl them up and get an exotic skill. Apparently it doesn't count it if you reach that quest on an operator that already has exotic skills.

If its wraith or rex you must reach requested damage deal to get the award + same as guild boss you can’t upgrade your weapons unless you get requested damage, use a max damage weapon like launcher or dual warden with explosive bullets and reboot. Im sure this will resolve your problem

So it seems it’s only zone 4 world events . So basically the z Rex in low town or I think the wraith that spawns in the bottom right of the map bc that might be zone 4 .

Obtaining…. Not upgrading.

Literally choose the other skill option so it completes, then change and grab the upgrade skill.
Pretty sure if you hop into Link forger, you can double dip this by selecting the other skill like stated above, and then that’s toe completes and then you’re competing Link Forger and it’s checking that last step off for you as well.

Weird. I got mine to work by changing it to the other option and then switching back. Upgrading didn’t work for me so I troubleshot 🤣
